The Café -- General Off-Topic Chat (AKA: Let's Break The Ice)

Finally 1K replies to this topic.

Pretty slow, I must say XD

Whelp, saw my first IRL Goth Lolita today. No frilly puffy dress, but she did have a fairly thick black petticoat (was fairly brisk and cold outside, so I can sympathize)

Hey everyone! There's only 3 days left before the The Officially Unofficial RGT Forums Best of the Best Game List for the NES round closes, and I need your help to break all of these ties we keep getting! Otherwise, how else are we gonna decide what each of the best games on every video game system ever made is going to be? After all, who else would better know but us? ::winkfelix

HIi I hope everyone is doing well, gamerz hur hur ::surprised-pikachu

So nice to get taxes out of the way. I usually get so stressed out the days leading up to doing them, then it's easy as pie when I actually do them through Turbo Tax

!!!The Officially Unofficial RGT Forums Best of the Best Game List only has one more day left before the polls close!!!

I repeat! There is only one more day before the polls close, and we have too many goddamn tie breakers to create a proper top ten! Get in on in here and get to voting, pronto!

Been watching some subbed episodes of Toei's "Fushigi Comedy" series (Dokincho! Nemurin, Omoikkiri Tanteidan Hadogumi, and Bishōjo Kamen Poitrine) and one thing I can absolutely not get over is how impossibly short some of the boys' shorts are. I mean JESUS H CHRIST, look at em!

The 80's and 70's were weird, I got some hand me down shorts in the late 90's fromm my brothers pairs in the 80s and no joke were sightly longer than the boxers I wore, as I had become tall enough to wear them, I refused.

Such an odd design given shorts were much longer back in the 60's and earlier and afterwards in the 90's. The worst is seeing really hairy middle aged men in these same shorts in the photos from the 70's and 80's. Absolutely no way, no near adult male or grown ass man didn't have a wardrobe malfunction with these things on.

You know what's funny to me? I remember watching Boomerang! VERY late at night as a teen and being amused by how... Overwhelmingly Australian that time slot was -- seriously! Every show was from there XD

I had some short shorts myself and got teased by the neighbor girls about fairly regularly to the point where I was terribly self conscious about wearing shorts for a LONG time

I hope we’re on the same page because I used to watch Boomerang too. It was the most efficient way to watch the classic Hanna Barbera cartoons and even had modern gems like The Looney Tunes Show and Chowder (tho that one was in 2 am-)

Oh! I loved Chowder and several other offerings.

When I was a little kid in the 80s my shorts were really short compared to what a kid might wear now. I can remember ones I woke a lot that were lavender with white trim and that had that little slit on the outer leg. I'd say "would you really put that on a 5 year old". But it was a different time.

If you watch old TV shows you will see all the hairy leg guts in short shorts and it's so weird. They just look like underwear now. I guarantee there were wardrobe malfunctions because guys wore them to jog. ::booshy

Definitely was many wardrobe malfunctions, it's likely even why they were abandoned ::sailor-embarrassed
