A true labor of love, Redux brings several enhancements and optional patches to Terranigma.
Text rendering was redone, and the script rewritten for clarity where it was confusing or unclear before; punctuation was also standardized.

On the gameplay side of the spectrum, equipment was retooled (and magic, as well, if desired) in such a way that gear is no longer a linear progression but rather presents interesting choices to the player.

Further, it also includes the NTSC patch as standard for smooth play, and more optionals.

I was having problems with the previous hack on my SD2Snes, kept crashing my save file multiple times, had to give up playing. Not sure if it was hardware or software or just everything (probably). I got a Mister now because my consoles are getting old and grey. so maybe I’ll try again to get through this cool game

It's been worked on for a long time. This is the first version that could be considered release ready.

I tried this only for about 10 minutes so far. ( I've beaten this game and I do recommend it) But I took the file that has the retranslation and unzipped it and applied the MSU1 patch and it works perfectly. I got the pack a long time ago so I took the rom out and put the new one in. Good music except I'm not sure which pack it is. I'm looking forward to the weapon changes. Anyway it's in the first Post and says patch version 3 update.

i'm sure this is a great version of the game to play and all, but personally i wish i just had the option for the re-translation by itself.
i'm not really interested in the gameplay changes myself.

It's much more polished and complete. Essentially supersedes other such attempts.

Damn, might have to give this game another try. I was really getting into it, but I got stuck when the game opens up more and you have to complete various tasks. I lost track of where I had to go next

Try to find something spoiler free. I still recommend you go in blind regardless.

When in doubt, I just find a playthrough of the game on Youtube and follow it. Like this one.
