Great news! I wonder about the backwards compatibility performance and if they all need patches or just more horsepower.

Honestly I bet the main thing we will see is smoother loading and upscale/frame-rates.

Thats fine by me to be honest. Graphics arent the end all be all for my ability to enjoy a game, as proven by my presence on a retro gaming forum

I mean we already kinda knew it was going to be called switch 2 but somehow, after 8 years I was kinda expecting something more than.. switch #2.
I hope we at least get some good games.

I'm thinking about waiting at least until the console is released and seeing the response for it before I consider getting it especially because my main concern is like getting a 100+ USD console that I might not play much. Not saying it would be like that, I've been playing on my Switch almost every day.

My main worry is if we are able to transfer save data from the Switch to the Switch 2, though. Like I can imagine any data that is able to be saved on the cloud would be fine, but I would love to hear confirmation, especially since I have a ton of Switch 1 games I need to start or continue. Then you might be asking "But Tau, couldn't you just wait to start them on the Switch 2?". Yeah, but I don't know how soon I would be getting it or if I would anyway. Though I would be more likely to get it sooner if they announce a new Kirby game for it...

It makes sense and it's really clear that it's an Upgrade from the original Nintendo Switch, Which is something that Customers have understand when it comes to Phones. Hell the Switch 2 Trailer showed it off like it was a Phone Advertisement in a way.

This was actually something my bf brought up when we were talking about the trailer. It seems like Nintendo learned from the mistakes of the Wii U when they were working on this.
