I feel like Nintendo really want to avoid another Wii U situation. Switch 2 being called the Switch 2 is a very appropriate move IMO. It makes sense and it's really clear that it's an Upgrade from the original Nintendo Switch, Which is something that Customers have understand when it comes to Phones. Hell the Switch 2 Trailer showed it off like it was a Phone Advertisement in a way.
This was actually something my bf brought up when we were talking about the trailer. It seems like Nintendo learned from the mistakes of the Wii U when they were working on this.
It's a little embarrassing, but I truly did not know what the Wii U was for like four months. I thought it was some kind of accessory, not a whole-ass console.
