Switch 2

Do we actually need those though? I doubt any of those services would be better than discord, and that's already shitty as it is
It's a convenience thing, I've had people add me on Switch and I just have no way of ever interacting with them besides sending them an invite to Mario Kart or something. The friend system on Switch is useless besides for adding people you already know/are friends with.

True plus that voicechat app they had was fucking bootycheecks it was not good

Looks interesting. I guess the best next thing they could do was just to beef up the previous Switch, which is perfect by me even better if it's compatible with the old switch games. Hopefully it will help the performance of the old switch games, that would be a really nice to have.

As other people said, it would be cool to get some proper online functionalities. I'm not sure if I would use them but a lot of people seem to love those.

next console war.

Oh wow, you are right. I'm more used to play switch games locally with friends, but not even being able to invite people or have a voice app it's terrible.
I take those for granted at this point, but yeah that's a big step backwards

Yeah I like beef

Eh, Nintendo are high enough on my shit list that I don't think I'll be picking one up unless it's down the road and used. The backwards compatibility is neat. If the joy con mouse thing is true that makes me concerned that they'll be forcing it on games, it looks like a horribly uncomfortable mouse too. x) Ah well, at least it'll be easier to emulate something like a mouse than it is to emulate a Wii remote & nunchuk. 😈

That’s one chad response ngl. Respect.

It was annoying yeah
Too bad we'll have to wait for someone to do an actual lag test on that thing, which will hopefully happen right after launch.
Sadly nobody cares nor talks about it so I doubt that Nintendo will fix it, but if they actually manage do it and it magically fixes the Switch's library thanks to backward compatibility it's probably worth it just for that

It's about time.
Although that design looks so... dull. Although I wouldn't know how to make it look better. Maybe a transparent purple option.

Here's hoping it's more than just a more powerful Switch. I want some personality in those menus again!
Although with that being said, I suspect most people would be happy if it WAS just a more powerful Switch.

We finally got the OFFICIAL reveal!
I'm probably still not gonna buy it since the Switch really disappointed me that much if I'm honest.

What I wanna see is more use for the Miis and a much better UI in general. The Switch UI was god awful to me and I hated how flat it looked compared to the other systems. Not only that but being a physical game owner and seeing the games that aren't inserted into your system still being on the menu screen bugged me. I just hated how I couldn't organize things to my liking. The E shop needs to be more organized as well with a theme going on.

But with the switch issues, I think the main issue is how games didn't really appeal to me as much. But if the Switch 2 games can, especially with Pokemon (A series that broke my heart with SWSH), gravitate me to it's console, Maybe just *maybe* I could get it. But right now, Nintendo and it's Partners needs to sell it really well to me.

I'm glad it finally got announced. The leaks must have pissed Nintendo off to the point where they said "Screw it, release the announcement!"

That said, I'm curious whether or not Switch 1 games will get a performance boost. Here's hoping that April direct will shine some news on that.
