TV Series Super Sentai fan thread

I'm gonna be sad Super Sentai is gone, though I'd be lying if I said I ever watched more than Dekaranger and I'd be extra-lying if I said it was for any reason other than Dekamaster. (I watched a lot of other power rangers series when I was a lamb. {absolutely loved SPD, Jungle Fury, Mystic Force a lot}).

While I don't think Dekaranger is the best series I think it was one of the latest I really got interested in before they went a bit too hard on the "selling toys" part (especially when most post-2000 seasons were focused on ninjas, dinosaurs, animals and vehicles).

Timerangers had a cop theme as its secondary yet this one was fully fledged and I do appreciate to see the mentor/chief being a ranger themselves for once.

I'm still confused about the redesign he got in the PR counterpart... Maybe he looked too much like a plush to the audience?

I forgot if there was a Tokusatsu thread in this forum but I liked seeing the Kikaider episodes with Hakaider as I already loved the 1995 movie.

Damn I just realized it's been exactly a year since Gozyuger first aired. Well....at least we can use this time to appreciate older shows now.

Frankly, with the trainwreck that Gozyuger ended up being, I can't say I had lots of hope for whatever the next Sentai could've been. I guess I'm glad they're trying something "new" now, and as a Metal Hero fan it's nice to see a return, but I'd much rather see something completely new, or at least a new Metal Hero that doesn't hinge on Gavan nostalgia.

*facepalm* THIS is the show where Power Rangers came from, ok. I've always heard it was a knockoff of a Japanese show but I didn't know what it was called. Now I know. Neat.

Ah, there's tons of places on the net where you can watch this in its entirety. Nice. Found my weekend binge show, thanks gamers.

Edit- Tubi is a free TV app and it's loaded with this show, just in case anyone was wondering where you can watch it easily.

I like the new Gavan design but I've always been more fan of the post-Space Sheriff era with Metalder and Exceedraft.

Frankly I need to watch more post-Space Sheriff stuff. I loved Metalder so I've been meaning to watch something like Solbrain, Winspector or B-Fighter Kabuto

I like the new designs too. I like how Infinity has more of a Sharivan vibe, but perhaps it's less of an intentional thing and more of a necessity to have the leader be red lol.

Juspion was the only Space Sheriff that I really vibed with but I lost interest when

Power rangers mystic force is what got me into super Sentai as a whole mostly because people online were like Sentai Magiranger is 100 times better and after i watched the full series it was great ngl.

I need to rewatch this series but only the important episodes because many Tokus have filler/less interesting episodes in each seasons.

Sadly this is the best way to do it (afaik). All the sites with them always have popups so intrusive that you'd be lucky to watch Episode 1 with no intrusion

More time for me to watch everything. Finally caught up to more TimeRanger, watched some ToQger, still think JAKQ is mid, watched more ChangeMan, and at one point I’ll continue GoRenger

Don’t ask me about JetMan, DynaMan, MaskMan, BioMan, FlashMan, FiveMan, Shinkenger, Hurricanger, Gokaiger, or King Ohger because I’m juggling a lot. Good? Good.

I’m also American so I’m inherently jealous that other countries actually got Sentai when we can’t even get a consistent Power Rangers

It might not be dubbed, it's probably subbed unless it's a fan dub. I was just frustrated when I checked on the D/L and didn't look at it properly lmao
