TV Series Super Sentai fan thread

It's Official, Super Sentai is ending

In one way I'm sad but in another since I'm more of a Showa/Early Heisei fan I think I'm not that sad because the latest seasons were clearly aimed at a fairly young audience to sell toys...

I have all time to watch the series I want to watch (like Megaranger and Dekaranger) than having to wake up very early or staying up late to see the latest season's current episode each week.

Though it's been uploaded by a sparodic mix of channels, you can watch a chunk of Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger on YouTube with subs.

It was were I got started with Super Sentai after becoming a fan of MMPR as a kid. Although I admit my experience outside this series is limited, it's a pretty good series IMO and offers a very different experience to the western interpretation of the show.

OMG I feel like I'm the only person who's a little bummed that Sentai is ending, I'm like rushing to finish Donbrothers since I skipped out on pretty much all late Heisei/Reiwa stuff. Idk, I'm sure there were some Reiwa actors out there that would've been excited for a future reunion/special for their series...idk I feel bad for some of them especially bc they're around the same age as me. (But on the other hand for KR you see Zi-O's actor who really wants to move tf on from toku.)

kinda relevant but watching kamen rider kuuga made me realize that i might prefer watching older tokusatsu over newer tokusatsu. Like I don't wanna complain that a show that gets its money from merchandise is doing the thing it's supposed to do, but I was invested in every character in Kuuga. I cared about everyone. It was captivating. Magical.

Also, Kuuga has, so far, been the only season I finished when it comes to KR, but also just tokusatsu in general.

Not sure why people don't check the catsite, it's not like the site is dead or anything. It's always active especially for newer episodes.
You should try watching the other early Heisei series (Agito-Hibiki), they're still pretty good. Also older toku would be considered stuff like Black RX (before KR took a long hiatus).

I think that Kuuga had some slower moments and some other parts that felt rushed towards the end but it was a great revival (like 2005 Dr Who in a way, the main actor has quit right after).

I think I still prefer Agito but that's because of nostalgia and seeing three different riders (especially a mechanical one).
