Stop Killing Games at the European Parliament | Full Hearing Highlights

That's good, but I don't trust the EU bureaucrats on this. I feel they are using this, at a time when public confidence in the EU leadership is low and getting lower with the scandal around keeping secret datacenters' emissions and the online age verification debacle, like a bone thrown to the people. I don't think they care about this and they're aggressively lobbied by tech companies to make shady decisions.

If anything, it will be a good testing ground for seeing if the European people can really trust both their own democratic processes and the people elected to honor them.

Shoving it to those ESA pricks gives me a ton of pleasure.

But of course we are winning: we are in the right — in ideal world (and God knows this isn't one) that should be all that mattered, but I guess what's really at stake here is whether our hobby is worth pursuing and/or defending anymore.

This is one of many battles, we have to always be vigillent. And use the processes we currently have to lobby for ourselves as a group.

They take apart the neclear family for this reason, they make us fight each other with lobbyiest truble makers who post attacking groups and fans of a specific culture. Just look a tthe drunk who is attacking anime watchers right now from "did you know gaming", a fine example of some one paid to stock fires.

We must always be vigilant and see what they are doing and fight the point which is consumer rights, and our right to ownership and our ability to choose what and how we spend.

I recommend "rules for radicals" to people to read and see how these people operate.

Stay villilent, keep up to date with policy and the like, always follow the money.

The next fight is the companies who want IDs but sneak in indemnity cluses and being asked to hold harmless, whch in itselfs gives them a licence not to give a sh*t for the ids they are suposed to be protecting.

Then you only need to look a Microslop and them punishing a cyber researcher for pointing out there system is f'ed and pare that with a hold harmless cluse, makes me wonder if they will even bother to patch it. Why punish the person who helping you for free to resolve the issue?

Becouse they do not want it solved, they probably sell access to bad actors who are willing to pay or use it as an entry point to AI minning a persons data!

Just look at Motrolla and the like behaviour: https://9to5google.com/2025/12/31/honey-chrome-users-fraud/ related to them stealing like honey did. I am having problems finding the article i saw yesterday, so i will let luise rossman explain it:

The fight is not over. we want a cyber punk world (high tech low quality of life)? or a world where tech continues to be for all, and not just the elites!?

I am for the mind that we can use AI to inspect code on a public forum, so that a company cannot hide what they are doing behind obfiscation or a complex terms of service!

Be bothered, as if we do not come together now, we will never beable to and will have nothing but cyberpunk with out the sand box or loading of save data to look forward to

litrally microsofts aleggid response, howeve since they nuked his git hub... Security through abscuraty NEVER workse, we find the bugs and the company fixes them in time to show reliability and they care for the consumer, or people get exploited, simple. But if this is the attitude, then a Tux with linux be the way forward. F Microslop!
