Done Spoiler Tags for Risqué Images

What do you think of adding spoiler tags to generally NSFW content?

There has been a gradually growing number of generally NSFW images that have been posted on profile walls and elsewhere in the last few months, and it was recently suggested by a number of Users that lewd or sexually explicit art and imagery be covered by spoiler tags to hide this type of content from Users who do not wish to see it.

RGT has a wide age demographic, and some of these images aren't suitable for younger audiences, and many other Users simply do not wish to see this kind of content when browsing the forums or recommending the site to others.

We have tried to be more relaxed about Rule #7. The general rule of thumb being "if you'd see it down at the beach, then it's fine". But of course, people will still try to push the envelope as to what they can get away with.
On the other hand, these images are often impressive displays or artistry and creativity, and they have their audience.

What are your feelings on the idea?

Fine by me. This way only who wants to see it will be in this thread. It's like a convention for the degen gamers (and you bet i'll be there too )

Cool, if i wasn't for the fact that i live with my family, i would make some ones too.

not that i draw any of them, i just post very cultured art every once and a while (only thing im good at drawing is a doodle lol)

So instead, I am proposing that we create an NSFW art dumping thread in the Art section, where all risqué images are hidden by spoiler tags. This would be the only place to post NSFW content.

I don't see how it can backfire. Even if it doesn't turn out the way we expect it, still the problem of nsfw posts in the main page would be solved.

It will be once new threads are generated with more recent comments. I'm more concerned about it disappearing from the front page of the Repo (which it will once new threads are made).

Ehhh... I think guests/potential new members seeing where we stand on the subject is a great thing for the forums — that way they don't have to wonder about it AND know it's limited to one specific thread.

If you're going to have an NSFW area, maybe it should be by invite only, since we have underage users here. It probably needs some form of age validation...

I’m not sure how you would implement this. Maybe the site could read your birthday, and if you're under 18, it kicks you back to the front page. I don’t know.

Just know we don't need the pre-8teen crowd getting lewd art from here of all places

I honestly don't believe Spike gave the okay for this. Against this kind of thing in the past, as he has been, I don't think it'll last very long, as it will eventually end up being a porn thread.
