Splatoon is now 10 years old!

The first Splatoon game on Wii U was released in May 28th, 2015. The series is now 10 years old today. Happy 10th anniversary to Nintendo's biggest IP. What were your fondest memories of the Splatoon series thus far?

Often it feels like time is just accelerating exponentially and a decade is just a blink of an eye but somehow 10 years seems like an appropriate time since this released.

I remember playing it at a friend’s house cause I didn’t have a Wii U. It was magical! A good mix-up of the TPS genre. Give what shit you will about Nintendo and their greedy, fan-repellent business strategies. They KNOW how to make a game.

God I'm old.
Great games, played both two & three. Frustratingly a month before the end of each games splatfest/updates. Still had lots of fun regardless of the limited support.

Which will happen again with 4 as I'm not touching the Switch 2 for a long while. Not with that atrocious price point and the fact the physical cartridges hold no game data.
If ever a Nintendo game needed a Steam port its Splatoon.

I never played any Splatoon game but I always enjoy people play it on streams ^-^ the game's concept and art is what I adore from it. And trust me when I say I draw lots and lots inkling and octoling inspired character because of this game

And the Switch is 8 years old. Wii U wasn't around for long, lol. Only Nintendo can get away with releasing two consoles during the same generation.
