You missed the 3d gameboy , 3D TV, PS3 3D,3ds,,PC VR, Ps4 PSVR evolution gaming,.
Its wasnt mass hit, because the majority are Casual Gamers and not true, diehard, niche Gamers.

Virtual Reality and 3D are still pretty gimmicky to me.

I mean even to this day BloodBorne on the PS4 doesn't shy compared to PS5 games.

All I know is Switch 2 will out sell what ever Sony makes. Because Nintendo could sell a bag och shit and people would buy it. I mean they sold bloody cardboard "it sold bloody 1.39 million units"
The Robot Kit sold 28,629 copies
Vehicle Kit has sold 49,389
Variety Kit has sold 330,00
And that is in Japan alone.

So yeah Switch 2 will out sell Sony easy because Nintendo fans are like apple people Brand slaves..

Technically Nintendo Labo was the game being sold, the cardboards were included in the pack.

And to be honest it was an experimental game based off a demo from a Wii U game Miyamoto developed (the mecha one).

It can be hit or miss but at least trying something different is still better than doing the same thing again and again.

The Xbox One and Series are just more powerful without any major change, the PS5 added the adaptative trigger buttons on the pad but on the other hand it threw physical discs by making the drive optional. The PS5 is not a massive change compared to the 4 Pro.

What does power mean anyway? It's the game that matters not just the raw power output of the hardware.

I'd argue that the Playstation 2, while being weaker than every other consoles from the last 3 gens, still had some of the best games we could ever have.

Well true Sony is overprice shit as always but at least I know Sony won´t sue my ass for anything and nothing. Switch 2 is a joke, Sony new handheld will probably be a joke. HOnestly with steam deck or Rog ally Switch 2 and psp 500000 or what ever they call it is kind of expensive for what they are.

I mean Steam deck and Rog both allow you to play kind of allot of your steam library games plus retro consoles with out softmods or such. One starts to wonder do we need a switch 2 or a new sony handheld ? Or maybe Nintendo should just focus on making a console that will give PS5 a run for it´s money.

The original models for Vita and 3DS just *barely* fit inside a pocket. I tried playing a 3DS XL on a bus and found it difficult to pocket it in either my jacket or jeans. The Vita had the analog sticks sticking out that beg to get ripped off. Would be nice to see a portable that's actually portable with a decent battery life (maybe even come with multiple swappable battery packs). DS and GBA were pretty good for portability. PSP was OK for it, but the PSP GO was the only convenient one since the UMD drive kinda' sucked and the smaller size finally made it pocketable. The idea that every device is so big and expensive now that you need a carrying case for it is crazy.

Switch kinda' fucked portable gaming pretty hard since everyone wants it to be a portable home console and not a hybrid console with limitations. If Sony does a portable it'll be a similar Steam Deck/Switch thing instead of an actual portable with specifications that smaller developers find appealing. Portable gaming seems to be the domain of retro emulation devices for the time being. And even those you see are expanding in size and power (consumption), following the same trend.

Perhaps Sony is finally understanding what we have for years. With limitation, comes innovation.

Nintendo has shown this to be the case. While many of the generational staples (CoD, Fifa, Madden, 2k etc) are now concurrently releasing for PC, many gamers have shifted towards PC gaming. This fact, paired with the lamentable lack of notable exclusives for the PS4 and PS5, means console sales have been lagging behind their past iterations. Except for one exception, the Switch.

The switch focuses on quality, innovative games from well-known franchises and guards their exclusivity well. Sony knows they have a massive library of nearly dead IPs that need more than a fresh coat of paint.

If Sony wishes to appease shareholders, they MUST break out of the murky lagoon that is the third-party game environment. Microsoft will inevitably just shift to a Windows based dedicated gaming machine and with their marked advantage in the field of program compatibility, there will be no space for Sony.

So what's the plan? It's obvious to me that Sony will take on a Sega-like role, playing the heel to nintendo's hero.

They are going to flop in direct competition against Nintendont, Streamdesk, PC clones.
Unless they make it $299 and cheap catalogue of master ,megadrive ,psp , psvita, ps1,2,3,4,5 backwards games available also, besides ps6 games to stand out.
