I tried to play fallout 1

the controls were too confusing though so I uninstalled 😭
I beg you to reconsider. Hell, download a trainer for it if you have to (cheats). I think the restriction for how far you can move, how many times you can attack per turn, etc., are why many people get frustrated with the game itself. If that's the problem, go for a max agility build early on in the game.

Isometric RPGs are likely strange for most people under the age of 35. But, once you get the hang of everything, the game itself is extremely rewarding. The A E S T H E T I C S and lore are responsible for a nearly 30-year old franchise

Also, it's not that i can't play isometric rpgs. I played diablo 2 on my laptop a while back, it's just hard to get into

I feel your pain.

I tried to play it on my tablet by finding a very old, almost unheard-of DOS version they released initially, then hooked it up and ran it though Magic DosBox and... It was like watching ants shooting at rats whilst needing a magnifying glass to see anything.

They most annoying part was that I could definitely see the potential gleaming within... So I ended up dividing up the workload and splitting up my time between Brotherhood Of Steel (PS2) and a very weird flip phone port someone made. They were both excellent.

You mostly use mouse and click things, how tf is that confusing. Git gud.
bait used to be believable. you'll find some attention elsewhere.

that's wild tbh. dos fallout sounds crazy

Just go straight to Fallout 2 it's the best in the series. Yes, way better than Fallout 3 or 4 or 76.

You'll still struggle with the "controls" as you cant be bothered to read a manual, but at least you could say you tried to play the *best* Fallout game and uninstalled it before going back to Pokemon. XD

Fallout 1 is still very good and worth playing. The game is worth experiencing just for the final chapter. It makes Fallout 2 more enjoyable as well, because you will be able to understand the story better.

the game comes with a manual in both steam and gog versions, just 2 pages you need to read.

It was... Quite the experiment.

Even with a patch the mouse felt like it existed underwater.

But it was that or no Fallout at all. Such is the life of the mobile-stuck, DOS-loving gamer XD

You could install Win95 on DOSBox pure Retroarch on Android.

The problem is mouse-based game need to be translated with stylus or gamepad. Direct touch control is not there yet I think.

Agreed, but I cant be bothered to try to convince anyone to play a videogame.

I think it's OK that those cRPGs are not for everyone, really. It's only a testament to their greatness.

I didnt have a problem with the controls, which are easy to understand since you play the game mostly with mouse. Aside that you'll spend most of your time using only the I and ESC keys.

What i had a problem were the bugs, i didnt know about the unofficial patch at the time and because of that i quit the game after some time in Junktown (the most bugged place in the game and slow). After i found the unofficial patch i played it till the end. I used 1.3.3 version (found out 1.3.4 later....) and i didnt want to try out of fear it would ruin my savegames. Right now the TeamX patch is at 1.3.5 version.

understandable. I grew up with Fallout 1 and 2 played them as a kid when they came out but honestly I never replay them at all while Fallout 3,NV and 4 and 76 I can replay over and over.

Honestly the newer one is so much more fun to play. So I will say you don´t have to play them in fact I would say don´t play them watch a let´s play of them instead.

I hope you at least stuck at it long enough to slip a lit bundle of dynamite into someones pockets, or to blackmail a street vendor over his secret meat source for some free cash.
