Sony Talk and News

What the ps5 has an almost smaller library than the Virtual Boy(proportionally speaking), what the hell are the thinking and also little to nothing of that library is worth owning.
Think the only reason I got a PS4 was for like one specific game, but that's mainly the only game I played on it. Tried with some of the Online games but they weren't my thing. I hardly play it now, so there wasn't really a reason to buy a PS5.

King's is falling just like nokia
bad management, bad decision
maybe they're smoking weed when making decision to porting exclusive games to pc and other console

I'd be fine with this generation lasting longer since it took so long to start given all of the cross gen games. I also bought a PS5 Pro so I'm good for a while. It saddens me that this is the last console generation that'll have discs. I'll cling on as long as I can.
Early and late PS360 were like day and night.

Even late Wii games looked more impressive (comparing Wii Sport to DKC Returns).

Yep, compare Perfect Dark Zero to Halo 4 or Resistance: Fall of Man to Killzone 3. I still have a soft spot for a lot of earlier Xbox 360 and PS3 games, though. Halo 3, Crackdown, Kameo, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Heavenly Sword, etc.

It feels too soon if they're releasing it on 2027 imo. It feels like the PS5 isn't old enough to justify new hardware already.

Sony will need to figure out a way to smother the PS4 in its sleep if they want to push a PS6...And I'm pretty sure they've already tried, to no avail.

The PS5 has truly been a victim of the PS4's success; unless the PS6 was some kind of revolutionary gameplay experience that you could only get through its hardware (i.e., something related to the interface between player and game, not a performance upgrade), marginal gains in framerate or poly count is not going to sell new systems anymore. The big leaps in graphical fidelity between system generations appears to be over.

And even if a PS6 could manage a similar jump and have photo realistic worlds to scale with our own with millions of characters, would consumers even want that? Nintendo's successes with hardware in the last few generations have proved that innovation in ways to have fun is a major key to selling games and the consoles you need to play them with. (Of course, I guess having a good library and deals with established game franchises, as well as a software and licensing environment friendly to developers, can help, too.)

I have a feeling Sony might want to see what Xbox has up its sleeve for its next generation console, too, and what success/failure that console might see...

I don't see these companies doing anything other than running their brands into the ground or "Evolving" into something that is no longer recognisable as even kind of related to gaming.

10 to 1 we've got another video game crash coming our way in the next year or two.

SONY will increase the prices for a PlayStation Plus subscription in 15 countries. The increase affects 15 countries in Latin America: Argentinen, Bolivien, Chile, Kulumbien, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexiko, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay.
The new prices:
PS Plus Essential: 1 month: $7.99 3 months: $20.99 12 months: $64.99
PS Plus Extra: 1 month: $11.99 3 months: $33.99 12 months: $107.99
PS Plus Deluxe: 1 month: $13.99 3 months: $39.99 12 months: $124.99

Man, it’s honestly so frustrating to see Sony pulling this move again. They’re raising the prices for PlayStation Plus in 15 Latin American countries, and it just feels like they couldn’t care less about how things actually work down here. Like, do they even know how tough it is already for people to afford games in countries where the economy is barely holding up? People are out here trying to enjoy their hobby, maybe escape a little from everyday stress, and now we’re expected to pay $125 a year for the Deluxe plan? Seriously?
Most folks in Latin America don’t have the luxury of spending that kind of money on a subscription — especially when it’s practically priced in dollars. You convert that into local currency and it becomes absurd. It’s not like wages magically increased to match this hike. It’s just another example of how these companies keep treating us like an afterthought, even though we make up a huge part of their player base.
If you raise prices in places where people are already struggling, you’re not just being greedy — you’re being straight-up disrespectful.

THAT SIR IS AN ABU.,,! wait a minute, i got a cheap PS3 with HEN at home ::winkfelix

Seriously, the PS3 with HEN + webMan is the best way to emulate PS1. I let my PS+ subscription expire when I realized that they would never bring back the full catalogue of PS1 classics that existed on PSN for PS3 and Vita (including Parasite Eve, Suikoden, etc.) for PS5 with trophies due to either licensing issues or sheer neglect for these older titles. The only way I'd pay these prices now is if they actually had a robust library of retro games available with trophy support, etc...

Well this is why I never liked PS plus or Games pass or even movie streaming shit is more expensive in the long run than buying and also means your just 100% renting a game but it´s 100% times worse than back in the 90s when you rented games from a store.

Also I hate it they remove games like shit is digital why are you removing games like it won´t fit on a shelf.

game pass ans PS plus will be a death blow to gaming.

Having bought a PSP last year and thoroughly enjoying it, I've been yearning for Sony to finally get off their lazy butt and make a proper new handheld damn it!

I don't know what else you can say but this whole price circus is really getting on my nerves . Sometimes it is cheaper then suddenly everything is more expensive again, what's that supposed to mean? I think the manufacturers are bored and want to annoy the customer like that. What do you all think about this?
