I just want to tell that I'm not complaining because indie devs are allowed to develop non-Sonic fangames (to be able to profit from their work), just that the name could be misleading and that I was mostly following those expos for Sonic things.
alot of them are Sonic adjacent though. You have the boost games, the 2D platfomers, and for some reason some Mario stuff snuck in there but if Mario had a fan direct, Nintendo would lose it and go after them too.
Spinball felt weird because it's based off the cartoon Satam but I wish we got more pinball spinoffs.

I'm only kinda joking, because a Sonic rhythm game would rule and having some reference to Underground in it would be fun
Kinda weird to think about in hindsight, how there were hardly any games based off of the many cartoons that have come out. I guess they didn't want to take focus away from the games they did end up releasing?
Considering how Sega has separate the American lore to the Japanese one and how SatAM was the "Archieverse" for the comics I think they wanted to keep the games focused in a single storyline (like the Death Egg Saga with Sonic 2, 3 and &K) up until Adventure canned the American side of the lore in favour of the Japanese one (since I think the Chaos Emeralds were slightly differently done in the west). Sonic Underground had a different lore from SATAM as well so it would've been complicated to make things cohesive.
In a better timeline we would've gotten a second Mania game and a Classic Sonic movie animated in this style.
