English translation by Nick Faro. Machine translated, it's going to be human translated soon, based on this project. https://nickfa.ro/wiki/Slime_MoriMori_Translation_Hack

Let's keep civility levels up and tempers even, everyone.
Thank you.

I’m fine with people using AI as a start for a project like this, but I’m not interested if that’s all it is. It should be refined by human eyes afterwords, which luckily it sounds like this will. I’ll try it then.

I think machine translations are fine. better than no translations. The entitlement of people complaining about things people are doing for them for free is insane. Those people deserve to be shamed for their behavior.

This series needs a modern revival. I like the whimsy stupid flair of these Gaiden DQ games so much!

I know that many old translations leave a lot to be desired, and have often been replaced by better ones, but I’d rather have a bad translation done by a human than something generated by a machine, which certainly isn’t a good tool for this kind of work.

Anyway, this has been debated to death; I just think it’s sad that we’ve reached the point where we have to check whether a new translation was done by humans or not, when that wasn’t an issue not too long ago.
It is stated in the category before you click on the game page that it was made using ai. You don't really have to look that hard, it wasn't hidden.

Also, what your complaining will do to change the situation? Not much.
Don't take it as an offense, but a call to action. Use your hate for ai and put it to use, focus all this negative energy into something positive, like for example, learning japanese.

My father always told me that actions speak louder than words.

Not to mention that 20 years ago or so, people were using dictionaries to translate roms and some of these were way worse than what these AI-assisted translations are achieving nowadays.

I guess this is it for fan translations... what a sad but expected ending
As long as the people doing the work explicit point out they are using AI tools to translate and maybe having the project open for other people to manually translate everything, I'm fine.

I'll never support AI tools being used instead of an actual human translator, but if people use it as a tool to 'get things started', it's fine.

Besides, no one got interested in manually translate this game to this day, so there's no much space to complain.

You can make the difference by becoming a hacker/translator. It's unpaid work on your free time and some people will not appreciate your effort, but you can do it! Make the change to the world that you want to see.

Didn't expect to see this, very cool. Looking forward to playing through it.

No way. Is this full patched? ::surprised-pikachu
Mmm no, it looks the same unfinished from before.
Fully playable in english, i finished a playthrough a while ago.
There is a soft lock in town with the slime close to the church, nothing that bad if you save frequently. But yeah, all in english, besides the start menus, that still have some parts still not translated.

The github project was edited 2 years ago, i think that the machine translated willbe the only way to play it in english for a long time!!!!

I'm glad people around here are more open to machine translations (specially if the project will involve actual translators later).

Time Extension's comment section about the Segagaga's translation (which used AI to HELP at the beginning of the project) has become a shitshow of people acting like witch hunters.
