Game averages mediocre to poor on every major platform. It wasn't a "vocal minority" it was critically panned.

That's not critically panned. That's mixed user reviewers. I wouldn't exactly trust thouse, as people have had habits of review bombing or throwing out low scores without playing the game much, nor at all, because they didn't whatever petty thing they wanted. I know PC version was rough for SH2R and f, but they smoothed things out last I cheeked. Get your shit together man.

There's reason why I don't put my full trust into Metacritic, and the user ratings or reviews are no exceptions. Your view is nothing but blind elitism and eyes clouded by hate. Long story short, Redux07 turned out to be a Silent Hill elitist and has derailed this thread to bitch about how "TEAM SILENT GAMES ARE THE ONLY GOOD ONES" and how "WE DON'T GET SILENT HILL".

Sooo most of the bad reviews are lack of optimization and it doesn't play like a real silent hill ? Why certain fandoms only want the very same game over and over and over again until the series dies ?

No, I had no idea. But I never really looked into it. Yes, that's good to know. So the Silent Hill 1 remake is coming in 2027 good good, It won't be long until then. Looking forward to it.

You're still insulting me and you even boosted the comments of another man that did, too. As far as gas lighting I'm attempting to maintain objectivity posting actual opinions from people that owned and played the game while you linked to threads on fan forums for the game seething about people that don't share their opinion on it. Regardless, it's more than rude. So, here's a personal aside. Nobody is going to be talking about Silent Hill F or doing a remake for it twenty years from now. Hell, I'd be surprised if people even remembered it existed a couple years from now.

Turns out most people don't mind the change of pace or don't mind the new games not being set in the actual town. Similar to SHf. Turns out going into a new location is fine, so along the characters and story resonate with people.

Also, I didn't know the lead devs of Alien Isolation. Our working on this game. That explains so much and the similarities with stealth and combat. I wasn't too big into Isolation, and hopefully they don't at padding, like they did to that game, but I'm still interested.

I do believe that Microsoft will release a new console, but it will probably be some kind of gaming PC.

Only the team silent stuff and origins are the best games of it .

Understandable .
Overall i think , the SH-fans should stay with the games they actual love and let the newer ones being released for what they are . If they have value about the series then they should stay at the core .

Konami wont step back using old IP-names and they dont care about the lore since the Silent Hill origins game . And even other development teams making those games which dont share the same concept , vision and lore that team silent had . Only vague concepts and a brand name that doesnt offer the context from the original games but atleast people have a name to recognise a game-genre atleast .

I accept that people want only name-recognition and not a game series with its own world , lore and consistencies . Good . I hate retcons . Looks like the new games go with the retcon . The Konami product must be sold and i dont wanna stay in the way for that to let Konami be above the water . And SH:TF aint for me . The deal is over .

At this point were the xbox 360/ps3 games not bad and actually good SH games because it has the SH name on it . SH can be whatever it is nowadays . Even Hello Kitty is part of the SH universe . Hell , lets put the Power Rangers too in the SH universe . Godzilla ? Fine by me . Add the Adams Family too .

But that the fans actually get mad at a game they dont like and is not the original lore of the team silent ganes , is rather idiotic when the results are clearly there that it aint for the original SH-fans but people that are interested in those new games .

Im ready to jump out of this legacy IP-fandom because i wanna finally see something new and fresh that sticks out without being depending on name-reckognition alone . Everyone can play the older games and its still a " take it or leave it " - scenario .
