Oh lucky me, with nothing better to do today, I rewatch the masterpiece that is the original IT with Tim Curry, because clearly, no one else can even come close to being Better.
Honestly, the remake? A joke. I’d rather stare at paint dry. Also, I dabble in some spooky season art

I watched a few movies: Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe, The Peanuts Movie, Ratchet & Clank, Incredibles 2, Dog Man, Captain Underpants, all three Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them, the final Hobbit movie, Warcraft, Night of the Museum: The Secret of the Tomb and Gamera 2: Attack of Legion.

Ebirah, Horror of the Deep (1966)

I like the silly kaiju movie. Though even I think the title should be more accurately be called "Godzilla VS Ebirah Featuring Mothra from the Mothra May Cry Series".

Still very silly fun. Highly recommended.

I watched Weapons. Pretty good actually.

The title is sort of misleading. I thought initially it was some kind of horror movie that involved super powers and kids but I got something quite unexpected.

For my birthday, my boyfriend and I watched Kwaiden because it's like 3 hours and I'm not allowed to have us watch SD Gundam OVAs after I spent most of last year's pausing to talk about it. Also because we wanted to watch something together other than Hausu since I normally do that for the Halloween movie.

Honestly a really good anthology movie with a lot of great atmosphere, highly recommended.

After many years of never quite getting around to it, I finally watched

It was captivating! The first 10 mins being set in Northern Iraq was very unexpected. The performances were very good across the board, special shout-out to Lee J. Cobb. Wasn't expecting to see him here, but he's always a treat.

The real stars however were the make-up and the cinematography. The film utilises a tonne of different shots and styles, it felt at once both professional and amateurish, conventional and arthouse. Good stuff.
I've watched it and I agree.

I find the effects impressive as well.

Also I came back from watching it

Saw Un de la légion a 1936 movie involving parts comedy and parts war drama.( The mix was quite well done ).

I recently watched And Soon the Darkness and Shin Godzilla.

The first one was good, but nothing I'd be dying to rewatch, and the other one I enjoyed a lot more.

The Ghost of Yotsuya (Shintoho version, 1959)

Between how campy it feels, the genuinely good effects, and how enjoyable it was when it really got going, it's hard to imagine a better adaption of this story.

Highly recommended.
