I remember when I first played this game i was absolutely blown away by the first dungeon i found the gimmick the item brought along with the size changing so creative and fun.

Alright, is this going to be the second LoZ game I've ever beaten? The only other one being Link's Awakening

It took way more tries than I can count. RNG is a bitch

Found the girls! Always loved their sprites in this game. All sprites looks good but I love their rendition in their "human form"

Even less than Zelda II and Phantom Hourglass?
I was being too dramatic. Spirit Tracks is my least favorite. Minish Cap is maybe my second to last favorite.

I don't wanna pork up the thread with the reasons why (especially because I want to try my best to enjoy this playthrough) but I'm not a fan. Zelda II, while I've never been able to beat it due to the difficulty, is a really cool game imo. Phantom Hourglass is the better of the two DS Zeldas, but I have not played either of them again since their release, so maybe I need to someday soon.

The only Zelda games I have not beaten are Zelda II and the Oracle games. Zelda II because of the challenge, Oracles because I've just been putting it off for 15-17 years as an eventual treat to myself.

Also, I decided to play on NSO. My GBA apparantly had a dead pixel now.

One of my fav Zelda games I grew up with! I 100% twice (A lot of Blue Shells farming for those Capsule Figurines)

Embarrassing Confession Time: On my first playthrought I completely FORGOT about the Kinstone Fusion mechanic after it got introduced, until I reached the Wind Ruins where you need to fuse with one of the statues to unlock the path! ::nervous-prinny

1780450219081.png

Of course replaying the game 4 more times I went into full competition mode for Kinstones
Fun Fact: The European version of the game has a bug that makes Eenie's Kinstone Fusion missable and lost forever if you leave the screen!

The same thing happened again to me with Yu-Gi-Oh! Sacred Cards!
I beat the whole game twice while ignoring the mechanic you could select a card to use as an "ante" before a duel to win another card! Was I stupid as a Kid? ::surprised-pikachu

The only other one being Link's Awakening
My favorite zelda game ::heart That came out when I was little and I was obsessed with it ^_^ I have played all the zelda games up to four swords (no wind waker ::sadkirby), so this is the most modern zelda game I have played lol I was hoping for ages/seasons for this month >_<

Anyway, it's fun and cute: I like the rotating barrel mechanic in the first dungeon: very creative ^_^ And now to blow stuff up :devilish:

One thing i love about minish cap is every time you load your save, the game remind you about what you should do

(Doesn't make it easier to found that said leads tho)
This is actually something I really appreciate. I tend to be sporadic in my gameplays, so while I can probably fumble around and remember what I was doing eventually since many games aren't THAT obtuse, it's nice to have a reminder. No, I don't need a darn checklist of every little thing I should do, (and that would drive me bonkers), but a gentle reminder is good.

Phantasy Star 4 had a nice "talk" command that has the characters basically yap among themselves about what they were up to and what they should do next, and I kind of liked the in-universe progress tracker feel it gave.

And now, the girl who hasn't played a Zelda game in like fifteen years, is going to go suck at playing the game, wish me luck.

Whose Idea is it to Add a fucking diagonal Bridge in a game where you can only move in 4 Direction '>'

Another annoying that i found while playing was i forgot how tedious is it to change your arsenal for different situation
There's another game I played that I can't even remember the name of or what it was even about but it diagonal bridged in the same way...it was a real headache, rip. XD. Also I kept using the wrong one of my buttons when I'd change something, every time, all the time, forever. I get that.

So I beat the first dungeon, and here are some thoughts. Uh, did I even really need to

My soul sort of fell out of me when I saw the lilypad because I genuinely thought it was going to feel awful. I've got a few traumas in regards to non-traditional movement methods kind of...sucking?But this was really fun and easy to control. I really like the utility of the wind jar and that it was sort of put on full display in the first dungeon. I hope it doesn't like, fall off later on or something.

The first boss with that enrage mechanic was...weird. I was expecting more of a chase rather than spastic movements, but given how bad I was at bouncing off of the darn spiderwebs, it was probably a good thing it was that easy.

As a last small thought: 300 RUPEES!? WHAT DO YOU THINK I AM, QUEEN OF THE SHINY COLORED CRYSTAL-THINGIES? JEEZE. Yes, yes I probably don't need the darn throwing stick just yet but IT'S THERE AND I PLAY VIDEO GAMES. I NEED THE SHINY THROWING STICK.

Just chase those chicken, since that boomerang really helpful when you were againts some enemies (stunlock Rules baby).

I'm up to having caught four chickens, so, it's going well. Only about 120 rupees to go, so that's not bad at all.

Uh, one more thought...those kinstones thingies, are there random ones in random places, do you know? I was cutting some bushes and one fell out and I'm like ??

I also love that feature, just booted up for today and remembered the smith in the mountain part, but I guess I should also go to town for something. I think a character mentioned that, but forgot >_<

Thank you talking bird hat ^_^
This is actually something I really appreciate. I tend to be sporadic in my gameplays
My problem is I'm usually drunk which makes it hard to remember what I was doing in an rpg, especially after taking a break in the middle of a sidequest >_<

One of the runs I did was pressing Select button to activate Elzo's dialogue!
He has so much Unique optional dialogue for so many locations and situations, it's very charming
