RGT Nostalgia Society #13 - POLL

I already beat Baroque, twice. It's not a long game and it also has multiple endings. I beat it before this month, don't worry about. Now Pikmin on the hand, i'm not gonna finish it on time, too much stuff to do these past days
You could just skip all 30 days and get the bad "ending" real quick before the month is over. There's still time.

With all honesty, I think the nominees should be shorter games
I agree, it's gotta be a game we can casually play over the length of a single month. That's why I'm so miffed about missing out on Parasite Eve 1 for Christmas, that's a perfect game December, and why we have to hold off on 2 until September.

Chibi Robo is not so bad, but you're definitly going to need a guide to not just end up spinning your wheels for too long.

True, but that's cheap. My ego can't accept this ::eggmanlaugh
And besides, it would be the same as just posting how far i got into the game before the end of the month, so that's what i gonna do. It's true that there's some time, so i gonna use them to progress a little bit more

As second in command of the PikPik Gunkan, I salute your efforts. Strive for 25, but let the chips fall where they lie.

@TruxtonTatsujin @X y b e r - S k u ll @solnK! @diapered Vote for SMT Nocturne and I'll give you a kiss on the mouth (just kidding), but please... Nocturne... This game is so good
I'm thinking about it, but will probably waste my vote on ages/seasons >_<

:loldog that's true, I guess the any% speedrun of pikmin 1 is to get through the first day then see how fast you can menu to "go to sunset"?

Bugs and Taz getting left behind haha.

Alas, t'was not to be...but what can I say? I like me some mascot platformers. :P

I've never played any of the other games nominated (well, except SMT 3, but I've never beaten it) so I get to experience something new no matter what else wins. ^^
Honestly was a cool nom tho. Makes me want to replay the ps1-era loony tunes games. Even the sheepdog one.
I never played the Sheep Dog one but I used to have a gaming mag with a full page ad in it for that game and it always looked like fun.
I recently went back and played Bugs Bunny: Lost in Time, the game that preceded Time Busters, and I proper enjoyed it. It's cool seeing how Time Busters improved on the formula with different styles of gameplay and puzzles.

I might re-visit one of the Looney Tunes games for Gameboy Colour, there were some good'ns on there too.

Did you ever play the game adaptation of Back in Action? That was a personal experience for me in the childhood and I remember the levels being so fun to play and a interesting take on the movie!

The movie itself was so great too "Ah-ha! The force-field penetrating apple!!"

The Las Vegas section especially was super memorable, I remember the visuals on this level being so good and fun to explore!

I did! I enjoyed how vertical the levels were - I remember that some of the collectibles required some outside-of-the-box thinking/platforming to reach. I distinctly remember the start where you're outside the red carpet event - I spent ages just looking around. I also remember a level in which you had to collect Aztec tokens as well, but that's a bit hazy!

Brendan Frasier = Win. It reminded me of the Rocky & Bullwinkle film that came out around the early 2000's if you ever watched that. ^^

Too good. Gotta love a videogame casino. DQ XI, Pokémon Red and Sonic Adventure immediately spring to mind!

Oooh yeah, the Paris Louvre level springs to mind when I think about the platforming with how high it gets. Didn't they reference Balloon Fight in the Las Vegas level too? It's hazy but i'm almost certain!

Oh man I have not but judging by this picture I think it's gotta turn into a must-watch for me. I don't know what water they were drinking from for this surrealist art clash of cartoon characters and real people in the same movie like this, somewhat similar to Who Framed Roger Rabbit? but I LOVE it and it's so full of charm.

The DQXI one really gels with me, I spent countless of hours on the Switch just gambling it all on the card games offered, and that RPG slot machine was so unique! Sonic Adventure too ... the amounts of hours I spent on that NiGHTS level ...

I'm a big fan of Lost in Time. Been ages since I replayed it tho!

My friend had a pirated copy of sheepdog and I remember playing the opening level but not much beyond it. I'll have to check out both the Gameboy game and the adaptation of Back in Action that @Tsukishima recommended. I remember loving the movie but never tried the game. Brenden Fraser is GOATED, especially when he interacts with himself at the end lmao

@gwardojones in response to your profile picture:

So, thanks to everyone on this thread, I now need to go out and see "Lost in Time", or play it or whatever, and now I need to go find some dang live action Rocky and Bullwinkle film, so, thanks for that, you jerks.

To everyone talking about SMT Nocturne, since I don't know much about the series but there's so much praise going on here, it almost sounds like Nocturne is several pegs above even the normal SMT games. I'm kind of curious why everyone feels that way?

Come on, Chibi Robo! Minish Cap is maybe my least favorite Zelda game and Chibi Robo was made from ex-Love-de-Lic devs! I just learned this! Now I HAVE to play it! Keep fighting, Chibi Robo! I'm pulling for you, little buddy!
Even Tao the dog in Chibi-Robo was originally from Moon, their very first game!

I've got a question regarding Nocturne in the chances it does win.

Does it matter if you play the version with Raidou Kuzunoha or not?

It seems to be largely the same game, but only changes the cameo character.
I'm fine either way if we're sticking to the base version with Dante.

Generally people are fine to play whatever version of the game they want.

Hell, if you want a hack that replaces every character with Mr.bean you'd be fine as far as I'm concerned lmao

My little buddy Tao is in Chibi-Robo??? I have to play this game, guys!
Even if it doesn't win, I recommend playing it.

I love any game where you play a little guy in a normal sized world but it's also just fuckin adorable.

Edit: the poll is on another tie, this time between Minish Cap and SMT: Nocturne
