RGT Nostalgia Society #13 - NOMINATIONS Thread

Lotta good contenders on here. I'll throw one of my favs into the running.
CHIBI ROBO!!!

Chibi Robo (USA)
Chibi Robo (Europe)
Chibi Robo (Japan)

And I just now noticed the box art differences in JP vs US/EU. In JP, Chibi Robo is being helpful, carrying trash. In the US/EU version, Chibi Robo is being self-serving, carrying his own plug. ::unhappy

Rockman.EXE 6 with English patches.

No, i'm tired of these .exe games

So glad to see this is still going on! :)

I'll nominate Crossed Swords for NEO-GEO. Baller game.
Wuhaaaaay long time no see ::winnie
Glad to have been able to keep the group going, tho @Kamako
Gets a chunk of credit too for filling in for me hehe

Not gonna nominate anything myself this month, but we've had some insanely good nominations already!!!! Will post the Poll tomorrow morning, so keep em coming

Oh! another I didn't play but do have nostalgia for because my friends would talk about it! It would also be my first Megami Tensei game ^_^
Wild idea: make the it a double feature.

The Zelda Oracle series is a duology with separate games with different plots but both games can be linked for the true ending.

After you finish one of the games, you will recive an password that can be used on the other version to unlock the Linked Game feature when selecting a New Game. A Linked file will have special events and access to the true ending.

You could choose one of the games, finish it and post your password on the thread so others can use to unlock the Linked Game feature on their version. In the same way, you could use somones else password to use it on your version.

I think the only drawback would be finishing the game 2 times, one for the password and one for the Linked Game's true ending
::fire When I saw @Tbest25 nominate minish cap I was also thinking about those games, and that is an awesome idea. I did the whole password stuff as a child, was completely obsessed with those games, and have not played them since, so it would put me in a nostalgia coma :loldog

It's been a long time, but I remember these games being very different from each other; it felt like beating two different games. I also remember entering the password at the start of the second game, so I didn't need to beat the same game twice.

I have 50/53 achievements for Tomba on RA. I love this game and it's one of the ps1 titles I grew up on.

Those 3 cheevos are hard to get at, and I'd spend the next month trying to grind them all out. 😔

Tho, I am eager for more people to experience this classic!

Well, given my love of Tomba expressed in the thread, I'm not really sure I wanna nominate something. There is a whole bunch to play honestly.

And honestly? I'm not sure I wanna dip into Tomba again after grinding for those cheevos....But! I'd still like people to experience Tomba because it does feel kinda like a spring/summer game.

That said:
Chibi-Robo sounds interesting!
P.E.2 sounds interesting even if I haven't played P.E. (I have seen breakdown videos of both tho.)
Even The Tic - I don't mind joke entries or liscensed video games. Sometimes you can find a diamond...

Honestly, I think I'm more hyped for the vote....

POLL is live guys!! Go vote.
