(Personally I haven't played or beaten many RE games but im planning on doing so soon)

I had a coworker start asking questions about RE2 and at first I thought it was about the original since I asked if it was the remake or not.
Then realized it was the remake !
I'm definitely late haha ... I didn't know it came out last month !
Also I'm surprised its only available for iOS ( I don't see it on Google Play from where I'm at :( )

Is it worth playing ? I saw the $40 CAD price tag for the 'base' version and it being like 22GB ... which is actually a lot storage space used ! (GTA:SA Definitive Edition only takes up 10GB)
Otherwise I guess i'll stick with the Dreamcast version if not (but from what I saw on with the iOS version ... easier to move around compared to the tank control concept of the original )

There’s a PS1 emulator on iPhone use it to play the OG RE2 it’s a lot better than the one on AppStore and the file size is definitely smaller.

Now…as good as the remakes can be, I think you should wait for the price to drop lower (maybe after a few months or when there's an event or a discount). But if it's low enough for you then I think you should go for it!

More importantly though, check if your specs can handle it. It might be too demanding so, be careful

Yeah. Gamma. Although half the psx library doesn’t boot up on it.

oh ... good point ! ( aside from price i'd definitely wait for it to drop at some point ) also the specs ... oops ... i forgot to factor that haha

as my username suggests ... not sure if the 15 pro can handle the graphics now that i think about it in terms of battery ... i can already see it going from like 100 to 50 in an hour or two ... yikes
hopefully it comes out on google play eventually since the s24 ultra can handle it better i'm sure it can handle it better

i actually use the flycast core on retroarch for the dreamcast version :O since in a way i'm already doing that haha ~

but yeah i was tempted to try out the remake since i never expected it to have a mobile port version ... ever ... now if they would just have live a live remake on ios/android too ... !

In all seriousness I'd say the Hydra, also from RE5, or the Red9 from RE4.

I have a pretty heavy lean towards pistols in shooters, and for Resident Evil in particular I've always been partial to Resident Evil 4's Red 9.

Original RE4 Knife. It never stops being useful. You can even kill Regenerators with it.

An elegant weapon for the refined government agent. The weapons so good I almost have to stop myself from using it every playthrough.

I've actually had that issue a few times. ^^; I've replayed RE4 so many times it makes me feel the need to mix it up a lot, but... it's really hard not to just go with Red 9.

Everytime I'm like "okay, I'll use the Punisher this time, it's a great pistol" then I see the Red9 in the shop for the first time and buy it without even realising it. It's a vicious cycle.

But oh, such a rewarding one. I often fail to avoid the Red 9 on a playthrough, but I never regret it.

If only the Broken Butterfly had more than two bullets available... maybe I'd use that a bit.

I'm team Killer7 personally, but the Butterfly is so sick just for the reload animation alone.
