I still don't know how they can't get a resident evil movie right. All the components are there for a fun action/horror movie but they still can't do it.

Guys ngl im kinda stuck in RE1 remake
It's a hard game, even compared to others in the series. Where are you stuck?

It's really true, it baffles me too. Just imagine if they actually made a genuine adaptation of RE2 in the middle of the zombie movie craze? The Jovovich movies are obviously famously terrible (the first one, to it's credit, wasn't that bad) but even the other attempts like Welcome to Raccoon City fumbled it somehow. The biggest thing is they always seem to shy away from a straight adaptation, and change something fundamental about the set-up which is a strange move.

Really makes me curious about the rejected George Romero RE2 script in '98, the one that got turned down by Capcom. There's a documentary that came out about it recently I have yet to watch, but plan on.

I guess the third one, really fun game.

RE Vendetta got there for me. It was driven by beloved characters (Rebecca? Yes please), the action scenes were balls-to-the-wall but still felt tense and believable in the context of... Chris and Leon post RE6, and the story tried just hard enough. "Random traumatized BOW-loving dude wants to destroy the planet and is being weird about it".

Those CQC scenes are still embedded in my brain.

Loved RE1 (PSX) and beated it with both Jill & Chris. I plan on playing it again one of these days.

Couldn't get into RE2 whatsoever.

Never played RE3.

Liked Survivor (PSX), I firmly believe it is a good game for what it is.

Resident Evil 4 is a masterpiece and one of the greatests games ever made and I will die on that hill. The greatest briefcase organizing simulator too, flawless stuff.

To be honest i dont know, i got the blue gem, mansion key and the first emblem you get. Other than that i dont know what else to do but explore

It's been a hot minute, but I believe the emblem gets swapped with another emblem in the dining room on the first floor? (Also if you examine the mansion keys you can find out which one you have, there's four in the game I think.)

Damnation and Vendetta were both great IMO, but I wasn't a fan of Death Island (seriously, Jill still looks like she did in RE3? Twenty odd years later? Lazy ffs!).

Depending on which version of RE1 you're playing, you could download a cleared save that has bonus weapons unlocked, and just play the game with an infinite handgun/rocket launcher until you get the hang of it. Just treat it like a training mode, y'know? Also there's a ton of guides/walkthroughs, both written and on youtube if you just want to know what to do next.

I never had a 3DS so I never played the standalone Mercenaries game, which is a shame as I always wanted to. I generally prefer Raid mode to any Mercenaries mode though, as I hate time limits. Plus Raid mode has a character progression system, and you can pick your own weapons to use and upgrade.

From what I know 7 and 8 are pretty good but thats based on everyone else’s opinion so I’d give them a try

Also I don’t understand why so many Mods are in this and the Monster Hunter forum 😂, I’m happy though
I had a good time with 7, though much like the transition from 1-3 into 4, the transition from 4-6 into 7 is a big change of gameplay style.

Probably the first resi game in a while that actively felt like it was trying to be scary, which is a big bonus from where I'm sitting. Will say the second half gets a bit kooky, but honestly what were you expecting it's a Resi game.

As much as I love the series, I do sort of wonder if we couldn't have had just a good new horror series with these new gameplay styles instead of dragging the series' baggage around with it like a stone around the neck.

I think the official position on Jill's aging is that... It just doesn't happen. Bluh bluh T-virus bullshit.

I'm sure the Jill fans in the crowd are happy that she still looks 25, but for such a long-standing series, it's kind of a shame that the most we can expect is a fit change. And no, tying your hair or bleaching it blonde for all of two minutes isn't much of a change either.

Then again, they also walked back Claire's aging in Death Island, compared to Rev2. And made her do that stupid capoeira flip. I'm still not over it.

if one has access to a PC copy of RE4, there is an HD remaster project out there

Resident Evil kind of died to me when 4 came out. I have no idea why but as soon as the tank controls were removed, I lost interest with it. Code Veronica was my last true stop with resident evil unless you count deadly silence on the ds which was quite fun with the first-person knife wielding.

The first two get plenty of love in my house on Halloween but if I was hard pressed, I would choose RE2 out of all of them that I have played.

Is there anyone playing resident evil outbreak on line at all ???

Been a really long time since my last online session, I believe there are at least 10 or so people during weekends even to this day if you're looking to play with someone.

Renamed the thread to avoid confusion with the general RE thread that already exists.

Also better to post in the general Resident evil thread instead of making micro threads.

hey just wondering if anyone knows of place to download all the OG RE fmv files i cant seem to find anything please and thanks

Hello again. I play a lot of old and new resident evil games. Except 5 and 6 they were some joke about call of duty for me.
I don't like some stuff like enemy naming and some events. But whole series was good. And it still good.
My favorite games are re2,re4 and re 7. I like hunk but Leon Scott candy? Well let me tell you how one of person I know call him. "Leon skelety"
I love when Mr x come in second play of original game and his hat mechanic in re 2 remake which is a risk to make a gate away or just make him more aggressive.
I also want to make a re game with a good engine(I stuck with blender,my unity is broken and game maker isn't 3d) I hope to hear your opinions and thoughts.
I happy to do business.

Hi! I really like your Username. That dude always creeped me out.

I'm a big fan of Resident Evil, especially the earlier games. 1 is probably my fave. I played most of the mainline series until 6, never played that. I enjoyed what I played of 7 and 8, even though they're not really what I think of when I think survival horror.
I wish you luck with creating a Resident Evil game! There are some very good spiritual successors out there, like Alisa for instance.

Also, I wrote something out for your thread about creepy TV shows before it got removed, but got side-tracked by work before I could post it. So I'll just leave this here:

Kid's nursery rhymes and stories are filled with horrifying imagery and dialogue. I always enjoyed the Giant from Jack and the Beanstalk bellowing
"Be he alive or be he dead, I'll grind his bones to make my bread". Which is something they'd actually do when there were bread shortages due to extreme inflation on the price of wheat and flour.

On TV, Courage the Cowardly Dog has "Return the slab!" from the weird CGI ghost and "Naughty!" from Fred.

Tom's spooky "Don't you believe it!" always creeped me out too, even though it's hilarious to me now.
But by far the creepiest stuff from a kids show (to me, anyway) was Grizzly Tales for Gruesome Kids. Every time I watched an episode I felt I was witnessing something "wrong".

Thank you. Sorry about my post. Really just looking at picture make me crazy!I think it is a good usable meme to. Like:"your money or your life" or "everytime you dislike this post this guy get a message about your address!" This so creepy!
About re series I really like it. This series always had great elements. I remember in re2 there was a very poor character with shortest dialog and was in a shortest time in the game! The guy from weapon shop. In remake they make it completely different! You know I like it but one of best point of this guy was his shotgun.first gun you can get in while game and it has 2 bullet inside it.also his design completley change!he was young and alone but in remake he has a daughter and look like old this thing freak me out.
Did you play Wii resident evil? I play 5 second with 6 fps.......I should make a post about low fps and speed! The game idea was cool and I thing a good port for VR can be so great.

Agreed! He always made my skin crawl in Ocarina of Time, and I hear he's even worse in Majora's Mask.

I'm guessing you've read the Creepypasta BEN DROWNED? Very effective. I always relate the line "You've met with a terrible fate, haven't you?" with his character.

Kendo! The gunstore owner. I played through Resident Evil 2 remake last year and I thought it was brilliant, much better than the original (which is something I rarely find myself saying). I remember playing Claire's campaign alot when I was younger on PSone, and he had the crossbow gun.
His character was alot like the other man from Resident Evil 3 Nemesis who hides in the lorry at the beginning of the game. I'm glad they gave him more backstory in the remake, and it was cool to play as him in The Ghost Survivors.

My fave scare in the original Resident Evil is probably the "Itchy. Tasty." diary. And in the remake, I like that if you flee from the first zombie and leave it to Barry to shoot them, just as you're about to leave the room you hear the sound of the other doom slam and the camera cuts back to the other side of the room and you can't see or hear anything. Genuinely creepy.

I never played the Wii version but that doesn't sound fun xD I played the Wii House of the Dead Overkill game, that was hilarious. Did you ever play Resident Evil: Code Veronica X? I think that has the hardest campaign

I didn't play code veronica. in Wii you play like old arcade with a plastic gun. I think it was first first person re series.
About majora's mask he had a lot of weird stuff. He can teleport,he know everything, can escape from termina great destruction but he can't protect himself against a skull kid and get his mask back! There is a interesting fact, his face make from myamoto who start whole series. Masksalesman have a Mario mask!
Check this one too:

And this one

I love evil within too definitely keeper and lighthouse woman. They are best stalker enemy in horror evil whitin.
