I didn't watch all of AEW last night as over three hours is a slog, but I will say that the Darby/Mox prison scene was, and I know this has become an annoying cliche, "pure cinema". Yes, it was good enough to be deserving of that. I am sick of the Deathriders, but they are building up this match well.
Harley Cameron was funny with her FTR. "Fear the Rath" joke. Her and Willow Nightingale are literally the only things I care about in AEW's women's division right now. Willow feels so far above every other woman in the division right now it's not even funny. Mercedes has honestly become like some kind of meme. She has ten belts now. It's like a running joke at this point. She just goes to some random, no name, indie promotion and grabs up yet another meaningless title. Toni Storm needs to FUCKING GO AWAY AND GET OFF MY TELEVISION FOREVER. I'm so sick of her schtick already. ENOUGH. MOVE ON AEW.
Statlander is utterly boring. Why is she the champion? She has NOTHING going for her. Put the title on Willow or put it on Harley, or bring back Britt Baker or Shida.
Okada was gold last night when he shut off the screen while Takeshita was talking. "Oh, so sorry. I must have hit wrong button" LOL
His delivery and timing is amazing. Him and Takeshita eventually feuding will be fun. Or maybe they'll just become this funny duo that doesn't get along.
