Interesting. Here's my list along with reasons.
TLDR: Call of Duty. Mario and Zelda. Sonic. Halo. Mortal Kombat. GTA. Final Fantasy. Anything under EA's name.
Call of Duty: Specifically CoD Black Ops 3, even more specific, CoD Zombies. Once the CoD Zombies story concluded in BO4, I just haven't been interested in any CoD since then. The Zombie mode along with the OG cast just brought me back to CoD every single time. Once the story concluded, I lost interest in everything else CoD related. Richtofen is my favorite.
Mario and Legend of Zelda series: I was never a fan of either. It could be that I've been a Sony fan boy because the PS1 was the first console that was actually mine. Even today, I can't bring myself to play either series simply because both are too lighthearted for my enjoyment. Literally, the only Nintendo IP I enjoy is the Pokemon series, but come one, most people around the world only buy into Nintendo consoles to play Pokemon.
Sonic series: This one had to do with simply growing up. From its Genesis era up to Sonic Adventure 2, that was when I enjoyed the series, sneaking behind my parent's backs just to play a couple hours during my school days. After SA2, I just quickly lost interest, lost its appeal. The last Sonic entry I played was Generations on the PS3. Lets just say I outgrew the target audience.
Halo Series: I have never owned an Xbox, therefore never touched a single title, but I am aware how beloved the series is by its fans. Looking from the outside in, it just looks like a standard FPS Shooter. I don't see a reason to get into the series.
Mortal Kombat: Up until MK 11, something just seems odd. Perhaps its the rebooting of the series? I don't know. Just something feels off. MK 11 was the last chance I gave the MK Series. Perhaps its because NetherRealm Studios are heavy focusing on Guest Characters.
The GTA Series: Not a bad series honestly but waited too long for a follow up, so long that I don't experience the hype for the teased GTA 6 follow up. I'm just not bothered in the slightest.
Final Fantasy: Cheating a little, but its popular. The main series is great. I look at it, I appreciate it, enjoyable storytelling, visually pleasing, memorable characters but its not something I would include in my schedule. I do wish we could get a modern FF Tactics though. I prefer the spinoff to the mainline entries.
EA.
