Wait specifically a DS game? Kinda makes me think of Monster Hunter Tri or whatever the name of the 3DS game is, but that is indeed on the 3DS.

Tri was the one on the Wii, actually. 3 Ultimate (and some others, including one of the best, if not THE best, games in the series) was on 3DS. But yeah, it's specifically a DS game.

Yup! I was afraid I may have gone a bit overboard on the editing, but I tried to keep enough clues in there... Hopefully, one of those was what you picked up on.

Yeah the fern healthbar is what got the gears turning for me (the file name helped as well).

Yeah, the HP gauge is very distinctive. I didn't want to leave the whole thing, but it also wouldn't have been fair to cut it out completely... So I left part of the middle and the end of it. Looks like it worked just how I'd hoped! Oh, and yeah, the name was definitely intentional. XD

As for yours... Based on the filename, at least, it probably has something about truth or lies in its title? Beyond that, though, I got nothing.

Looks like a modern throwback to NES to me. Maybe an RPG like 8 Bit Adventures or Evoland. There are way too many of those around to count.

Yeah it has the pallet of a pseudo 8-bit game. I think you are on the money with one of the 8-bit adventure games
