excluding skylanders and the reignited trilogy. the last original spyro game was Dawn of the Dragon which came out in 2008. thats why i said "nearly" 20

Genuinely pretty happy that spyro is finally getting a chance at redemption after all these years.
I just hope that activision and toys for bob won't botch it up. Like seriously. It will probably be 150 gigs of download and 5090 recommended gpu but at least make the gameplay good.

Admittedly, I've never had much of an interest in Spyro, but I will say; it's genuinely quite refreshing to see an old series being brought back with an actual NEW game and not a pointless remake or "remaster", so genuinely; good on them for that.

Toys for bob confirmed that they're still gonna be doing platforming. the flight stuff is just a new addition

I am cautiously optimistic after being burned by every major series entry since Enter The Dragonfly. If they can pull it off and I can buy it without selling crack and my kidneys then that will be a truly glorious day.

Definitely play the original trilogy, they are at the peak of pure 3D platformers. It's telling that when Ratchet & Clank came out that they added a bunch of crazy guns to spice up the formula again.
