Pet Peeves

Anytime something does not work as intended or advertised, I lose my shit completely on an entirely unacceptable level

I mean really, it's like the Hulk levelling a city block level of angry that the situation doesn't even really call for. Idk man.

Like why have a product if it doesn't do what it's designed to, or at least advertised to do? That's just extorting money from people who don't know any better. It's dishonest and bad business practice.

I guess I had this idea as a kid that somehow us as a society having these monumental buildings and technological achievements in some way, in my young mind, meant that we were doing good as a civilization, or coming together in unity somehow. Facing that disappointment has been devastating.

The distinct lack of manners these days. As a kid I was always taught to speak when spoken to, hold doors open for others, eat with a napkin, etc. Seems like it's a lost art these days.

I swear even just the amount of people I see at a restaurant with their face in their phones while their friends are trying to conversate just irks me.

Sorry. ^_^;
Yeah, I try not to look at my phone much when engaging in conversations; usually I only go on it if I was busy prior to their company, or if I'm trying to show them something on it.

Trying to break some of my friends of that habit too, but it's like trying to tear down a stone wall with nothing but a fingernail.

The overuse of mobile tech is creating a generation of zombies. I'm not saying we should live like Mormons, but people have never been as stuck into their own bubbles as they are now, and it won't get better.

don't feel sorry. I actually appreciate that you corrected me. I wouldn't have known that. Been wanting to take an English course lately as I feel my vocabulary has went down the toilet since High School.

Until I force them out of their comfort zone and back into the real world against their will, kicking and screaming. 😈

Most of the time people get pissed off when I try to correct them; at least I'm not condescending about it. >_>

Hell, I used to not know English. If I didn't have patient teachers, I'd never have come so far with my vocabulary as I have.

What kind of rapper would I be then? A piss-poor excuse for one, that's what kind.

1. People wearing masks while alone in their cars.
I'm wondering why it's a pet's peeve. I mean as long as view isn't obstructed.

3. Stupidvisors telling me I need to work harder to make up for the lazy people. Yes, I said STUPIDvisors.
I dislike how in workplaces the best workers are actually getting punished for being good by having to work for those working less. As if you should do the bare minimum.

When people use physical disabilities and mental illnesses as insults.
Wait, people still do that?

I'll add people thinking that disabilities are only visible ones and act as if you aren't if you're not in a wheelchair.

Sadly, yes.

I left social media out of sheer disgust for the overuse of a certain "R" word.
I also think that calling someone online an "idiot" is also a sign of losing the argument.

Using ad hominems is just admitting defeat imo.

You can find something stupid (which is the action or an item, not a person) but calling someone name online when you're behind a screen with anonymity is a form of cowardice imo. Most wouldn't dare saying it irl.

Don't feel sad, justlooking123.
wounds heal with the pass of time.
another different thing, is betraying them.

you are not losing them forever. there is always another chance, and then, you are reunited in a wink, one of those days...
because, you know... auto-correction is a calamity, these days. you are not guilty.
you are in your right, for expresing yourself.
Thank you @MistHunter! I really hope so...

I share your sentiment...

I couldn't have said it any better.
