OK I gotta ask, what are your feelings on Resident Evil Requiem?

I didn't like Grace. Her post-character development personality from the end of the game would have been a better starting point for her. She wasn't a fun character to inhabit during the first half.

Because his sections don't drag on forever, unlike nearly everything else in RE6. RE9 is basically RE6, but better, and more restrained by comparison.
I disagree.
my first thought after finishing the game was "this won't be fun to replay because of all those constrained leon parts" - its pretty much my biggest issue with the game.
I also just think leon's open world racoon city segment is tedious in general and considering it's like 60% of the game its a big turn off.
Its still better than 6 but I didn't enjoy it as much as 7 or 8 ::cirnoshrug

Also the talking zombies with distinct personalities was the coolest thing but it got canned after the first act :(

It's only slow and tedious when you don't know where everything is or your first time, and you might get lost, or are looking for all collectibles. I got through the raccoon city section much faster because I nearly memorized where everything was. I have a blast whenever i'm playing a Leon section.

I find 9 better than 7 & 8. 7 is too slow for me and has too scripted sequences. Enemy variety is too limited, qnd I just don't find the games fun at all. 8 is better than 7, but it's just a worse version of RE4 and RE4R. I have no reason to go back towards 8. Grace is pretty much a better and more interesting version of Ethan.

I can agree with you on that, but I still have fun overall.

I guess what I liked most about 7 / 8 was that modernization of classic resident evil games, in that you have a set area you gradually unlock as you backtrack through it and progress, it's probably why I like graces segments way more than leons, I think if they were a bit less over the top I wouldn't find them so jarring.
Ultimately i think its "okay" but I know plenty of people really love it, each to their own ::biggrin

Resident Evil is my favorite game series of all time and I love RE9. I got the platinum and I know there is the free DLC out which is a fun little thing but I’m more interested in the upcoming story driven DLC.

RE8 really drifted away but RE9 brought it back. I loved revisiting the RPD. I’m not gonna lie, I absolutely got in my feels.

I didn’t really like Grace but the game made up for it. The lab was probably the weakest area for me, just so blah.

Anyway, overall, great game, had a lot of fun playing it.
