OK I gotta ask, what are your feelings on Resident Evil Requiem?

Great game but short, it NEEDS the "Mercenaries" mode or a "raid mode" and sadly playing as Grace on subsequent playthroughs is kinda boring.
I agree on the bonus modes, but I love playing as both characters for similar and different reasons. My guess is that these modes are gonna come later in an update. It's a noticable pattern with most of these games. Especially with the mainline numbered entries.

And it's clear the team's strategy is working. While Final Fantasy boss Naoki "Yoshi-P" Yoshida recently admitted the long-running RPG series is struggling to attract new players, Resident Evil is more popular than ever. In just two months, Requiem has sold over 7m copies, making it the fastest-selling game in the series by far. And if that legion of players can agree on anything, it's that Resident Evil newcomer Grace Ashcroft is a high point.

Nakanishi says the team has "been really glad to see" the reaction to Grace, attributing at least some of her immense popularity to that fact that "compared to some of our more stoic characters who've been through a lot in Resident Evil, this is her first time experiencing anything like this. She's very emotionally expressive about the fear she goes through, being thrust into this intense experience. And it's something I think players have just really responded to; because she's so relatable, you root for her... you want her to get through this and be okay. I think that emotional relatability, in a horror game especially, is important."

Based on this thread and vids.

Leon's back, wasted.
Grace stutters, not cute/endearing.
Singing Zom got folks acting up, should remove themselves.

I'm an sob/hypocrite.
Might purchase when DamnReMoved on sale.

Should have just been all Leon action resident evil was never scary adding outlast style hide and seak shit ruins all the modern games. I refuse to give Capcom money but I don't trust Hypervision so I'm not gonna pirate it any time soon. Only positive I can think of is that the VR mod looks cool.
There is a good website that I have used for years. You can get requiem Deluxe free and no denuvo or hypervisor. I can't post it here but DM me if you are interested

Leon Must Die Mode is out now for free!
I just finished it (the vanilla game) about a week ago. Need a break, but that game seemed REALLY short to me. It tells me 77 hours. and even though i tried to look for EVERYTHING I know I missed a lot.
Or maybe I didnt. Either way I'm going back to KCD to help out Hal.

I haven't touched a game in a while, so I'm definitely popping this back in to play this mode. I beat the game twice, three months ago.

I pre-ordered my copy from GameStop and it came out in February. I immediately started NG+ after beating it. The very next day after coming home from work.

Good game but very formulaic. RE10 needs a 4 or 7-style overhaul.

A lot of them have closed down in Michigan, but many of them are still here. Unfortunately that includes the downtown Royal Oak location. Even the store and regional managers don't like that one.

Funco was king!!!
Indeed. As were K&B Toy Works, and Game Crazy.

I think it's terrific. The devs behind it clearly loved what they were doing and it shows. That is a resident that is evil as hell. Having the two different characters with the two distinct styles of gameplay was a great idea. Glad I got it for free with my new monitor!

Normie slop that will be fun to play through whenever the price goes down to like $15-$20 on some kinda steam sale.

From my perspective, just to be clear, not a bad game, however I have to judge it as Resident Evil, what that means and what i'm personally looking for as an experience. and so, going back to my previous post the score is still 6-7 out of 10.

Even at $15-$20, I'm still going to let it be and pass.

Grace's parts are a lot better than leon's, the hospital and basement segments were the best parts of the game.
Not a fan of leon's Michael bay action cutscenes, reminds me way to much of resident evil 6 and i struggle to see why that game got absolutely decimated as a resident evil title for "jumping the shark" when leon is literally motorcycle riding down collapsing skyscrapers while shooting mutant dogs and having rocket launcher battles like it's nothing.

Because his sections don't drag on forever, unlike nearly everything else in RE6. RE9 is basically RE6, but better, and more restrained by comparison.

My feelings on Requiem, now that the dust settled.....is I'm mixed on it. At the time of release I enjoyed it overall alongside most of my buddies. But would I return to it? I don't think so. Then again I'm biased towards the fixed camera tank control games and the og RE4. Pretty much everything post that I don't have an intense attachement for. I've accepted that different people make these games these days and Capcom these days just aren't the same Capcom as I grew up with. I feel like I played Requiem to be part of the zeitgeist at the time. But yea....only time will tell if it will stay with my heart long term like many of my classic favorite games remain.

Yeah, that already happened the moment Shinji Mikami, Hideki Kamiya, and Clover Studios left Capcom back in 2007 to form Platinum games. All the more ironic as neither are at Platinum anymore, and Kamiya, along with a majroity of the alumni went back to Capcom to form Studio Clovers. While Mikami went to form his own dev studio again after the shutdown, and buy out by Krafton, of Tango Games.

Sure, they ain't exact same, but that is not inherently bad thing. A change up is needed every once in a while, and even the Capcom of old realized that. It's just a matter of you or whoever being invested or not.

You quoted that specific part of what I said as if I was being a moron about it, earlier in that sentence I said I already accepted it.

I wasn't trying to insult you; just pointing something specific out. So no need to get upset or offended. I was not trying to do either. Though I've noticed pattern of "not the same Capcom I grew up with" some people (I am not putting you in this category, so calm your tits) keep saying here or through out the online space like it's some grand revelation or they've only now began noticing and not two decades ago. Unless they did, but kept denying/not wanting to acknowledge in any fashion.

I like it a lot, you can see how the devs put a lore of care into the game and you can feel the passion for Resident Evil pouring on the game.

They had the though task of trying to me mix the new RE with the popular mid 2000s RE, and I think they nailed it. I liked more the Leon segments, but even the Grace ones where fun and I felt like they didnt push the other characters away.
