The Galaxy movie had the worst pacing i have ever seen in an animated film and it butchered an endearing story from the game it was supposedly based on. like yeah, there were some cool bits but to me, thats what the film is, just a amalgamation of cool scenes with no proper connection.

Yeah I think most of the beef was in the Mega Drive Snes era and died out afterwards for the most part besides some funny memes.

Some of us never even cared in the first place. While others were busy trying to make themselves feel better than others for their choice of consoles/franchise, I was enjoying both Mario *and* Sonic games, and loving video games in general. Never made sense to me how people make the thing that they like so much of their personality, and decide that anything *not* that thing must be terrible and awful and anyone who enjoys it is beneath them.

Just... fucking have fun people. Literally nothing has to be a fight.

I think Slow pacing is worse in some cases.

I will defend the Sonic alone in the house part, since it does not last long and is a nice breather before shit gets real.

I haven't seen the Mario movies and nothing in the trailers has made me want to. Not hating on anyone who likes them. They're just not for me. But I have seen the first two Sonic movies and thought they were a ton of fun. Hopefully they'll make a movie based on Sonic Adventure at some point.

I had a friend who was (and almost certainly still is) a diehard Sonic fan. His enthusiasm rubbed off on me. Now I really like these games. Even a dumb Sonic game is still a ton of fun, and there's something really endearing about how cool Sonic and his devs think he is, even when he's saying the dopiest stuff I've ever heard. His confidence is kind of infectious.
