Normal people wouldn't let young ones getting easy access but in the same time having to put your ID or credit card on sites to tell you're over 18 is weirdly a red flag to me.I have few "hot takes" regarding NSFW content and its normalisation among the youth but I think it might stir up a heated discussion unless you guys want to hear them (8 people say yes then I will do) I'm going to keep them to myself.
The porn industry is evil and should be destroyed, but consuming non-industrial pornography in moderation and in an ethically conscious way is a way for people to explore their sexuality in a safe environment. All right I said if 8 want to hear it then I would do the number came to be true and I shall voice my "hot take" on it here we go:
The normalization of NSFW: back in school you would do it for the "LOLs" oh shi guys look at me I watch +18 content im cool!!! , it applies to the wide internet where the joke is "here is my porn/hentai addiction presented as a funny meme" instead of trying to remedy the problem they take pride in an addiction that makes you awkward in fact very awkward around women , makes you suffer from unimaginably high standards that are borderline imaginary.......and people on the net have no shame posting the sort of deranged shit they watch for all of mankind to see like look im not gonna stop you from watching whatever you want but DONT and NEVER post it in public its something between you and yourself im sure most don't and aren't interested in knowing what stuff you beat your meat to alright? And NSFW artists I hope you burn in hell.....your work does nothing but feed a miserable addiction that makes people even more miserable than before , my generation (gen Z) and their playgrounds are filled to the prim with such easy to access content its not just kids who stumble into it and develop a long addiction but so do young adults and what does the internet do? Nothing.....its seen as normal in the internet moral grey ground and its sickening to see such content normalized and distributed among my fellow GEN Zers.
In case you aren't aware the porn industry preys on vulnerable girls to introduce them to a dark path where they sell their very soul on camera , not to mention the sort of bullying that can happen in it where an actress took her own life cuz of it , and even one actress got killed because she spoke up what sort of stuff happens in it.
We should stop acting like distributing sexual content around is normal and cool you aren't a "man of culture" you are an addict who has no shame what he does.
Oh and I know most of us here are guys and im sure most of you know what im talking about and don't even attempt at reasoning with about this there is no "but" here ok? I hope that's clear.
The problem with pornography is that it became easily accesible. Gone are the days of waiting till midnight to see some action on TV, and even then, some tame stuff compared to the things that are made today. All right I said if 8 want to hear it then I would do the number came to be true and I shall voice my "hot take" on it here we go:

the normalization thing has been happening since magazines and video tapes existed. it's easier to share stuff like that today because of nearly every phone being a small computer. All right I said if 8 want to hear it then I would do the number came to be true and I shall voice my "hot take" on it here we go:

My personal take as a self-proclaimed porno connoisseur, NSFW normalization happen because lack of education and supervision, sexuality is part of human nature, and as someone used to say, we can't always fight nature, we can't fight change, we can't fight gravity, we can't fight nothing. All right I said if 8 want to hear it then I would do the number came to be true and I shall voice my "hot take" on it here we go:

So you want artists to not have freedom of creativity and want their content to be monitored? So you would want even non sexual nudity (or just the upper side exposed) to be censored or removed? There are many antique art having people in their birthday suit. And NSFW artists I hope you burn in hell.....your work does nothing but feed a miserable addiction that makes people even more miserable than before
As long as it's legal and between two (or more) consenting parties that are sober/conscious adults over 18 that have proper protection if they're not sure about the other*Oh, and don't kink shame.

On the other hand when an artist that does nsfw stuff make a sfw thing people will refer to their nsfw even in relatively public sites like Youtube and I'm legitimately like "shut up, there are probably kids that may read those comments here."This sound like a religious denial.
It's people's fault if they get addict to porn, not artists'.
Honestly, this is one of the reasons I never show people my creative writings. I don't want be constantly hounded by "Hey, don't you write PRON???"On the other hand when an artist that does nsfw stuff make a sfw thing people will refer to their nsfw even in relatively public sites like Youtube and I'm legitimately like "shut up, there are probably kids that may read those comments here."
Even if the meme about "it's like seeing your weed dealer at the store" is kinda funny anyone normal would either ignore or act as if they're a normal person.
Funfact: even some great artists produced nsfw content at some point in their lives or hidden in archives until they passed away.
Also this may explain why some artist are using aliases instead of the same pseudonym. At least even if you could guess that it's the same person behind at least there's an ambiguity on the person.Honestly, this is one of the reasons I never show people my creative writings. I appreciate you but sadly with that name and pfp I think your argument is a bit weakened as much as I do agree with that. This sound like a religious denial.

I'll do one better, to borrow a quote from someone:You know what I remembered another hot take if you gonna call it that
WINTER SUCKS SUMMER IS BETTER
Half agree, they've got to have regulations on their part as well, age verification for example, albeit ineffective, is an example of one. While places like casinos have bouncers and security guard akin as some sort of protection, this is near impossible to do online without a breach of privacy involved. And sorry but I'll be honest, it's like blaming the existence of casinos and gambling for people to have gambling addiction. NSFW artists (or even people that sell alcohol or tobacco) aren't responsible for people who lack self-control since they're adults.
It's the same for people with an OnlyFans, you're free to not spend any dime on that.
What does that should be mean?? What does my nick has to with the argument in question?I appreciate you but sadly with that name and pfp I think your argument is a bit weakened as much as I do agree with that.
Then where are the parents? Are artists responsible when almost every say "Minor DNI/+18 account"? Even Twitter started to censor nsfw content unless you're logged in.Half agree, they've got to have regulations on their part as well, age verification for example, albeit ineffective, is an example of one. Then add up the Lucario ones heh.my hot take is that all of those life sized gardevoir dolls need to be rounded up and sent to the same landfill the unsold copies of the E.T Atari game went to. perhaps over time they’d all congeal together into some sort of eldritch horror, somehow far scarier than wanting toa pokemon. That’s all I can hope for![]()
Can't exactly point finger here, they all need to exist. Then where are the parents? Are artists responsible when almost every say "Minor DNI/+18 account"? Even Twitter started to censor nsfw content unless you're logged in.
Anyway I'd argue that even old cartoon artists had some suggestive jokes or even scenes like in Tex Avery (especially regarding a Red Hood) and some Merry Melodies with an actual "performer" getting rotoscoped.
Then add up the Lucario ones heh.
Even if you lie about being 18 I think it's mostly for the legality of it (like saying that "The event and person portrayed are fictional, anything that may be real is purely coincidental" or "any person portrayed in this piece of media are adults over 18").Can't exactly point finger here, they all need to exist.
The guardians to make sure their kids don't have easy access to saucy stuff, the artist to at least try to prevent minors to access their saucy stuff, AND the kids themselves to develop self-awareness and maturity to handle such thing responsibly, trouble comes when one of these doesn't work.
I heard that S-E is quite bad in some states (especially regarding promoting abstinence over telling how to protect and prevent disease spreading or unwanted pregnancy). Thus my earlier argument about sex-ed, rather than keeping kids off NSFW subject entirely, we should educate them instead, let 'em approach it in a controlled environment so if bad things do happen, both the guardians or the artist have the capability to minimize the damage.
Yep, I might be wrong but I believe there is an actual law regarding this. Like the corn sites are not allowed to operate if they don't put out a warning.Even if you lie about being 18 I think it's mostly for the legality of it (like saying that "The event and person portrayed are fictional, anything that may be real is purely coincidental" or "any person portrayed in this piece of media are adults over 18").
I understand why artists are putting this, mostly to not get accused of showing inappropriate content to young ones.
Yeah culture definitely has a hand in all this. I'm from a country where S-E is almost non-existent and the government went way overboard on handling inappropriate stuff, they censored small cleavages and belly button on TV, heck, they outright cut out every part of Spongebob episodes where Sandy appears in bikini.I heard that S-E is quite bad in some states (especially regarding promoting abstinence over telling how to protect and prevent disease spreading or unwanted pregnancy).
But then it's a cultural thing, I know that even breastfeeding is seen as inappropriate despite being the primary function of these (there was a french movie opening with a scene which is important to the plot about how, despite not being biologically related, are still brothers since they had the same caretaker).
As much as it's a bad filter I'd take that over showing ID or a credit card to have access on these sites. Privacy is an important thing online even if the IP can get accessed easily.Yep, I might be wrong but I believe there is an actual law regarding this. Like the corn sites are not allowed to operate if they don't put out a warning.
Lmao, sorry it's not about you but Sandy is actually one of the rare 90's female character that was both non sexualised nor becoming the girlfriend of the protagonist which is sadly hard to do since back in the 90's a female had to be sensual in some way (hey Lara) or systematically becoming the gf (hello Moonlighting) when a (heterosexual) guy and gal can be just friend without anything else.Yeah culture definitely has a hand in all this. I'm from a country where S-E is almost non-existent and the government went way overboard on handling inappropriate stuff, they censored small cleavages and belly button on TV, heck, they outright cut out every part of Spongebob episodes where Sandy appears in bikini.
The reverse psychology effect.Guess what happened? My country is in top 15 most frequent corn sites visitor and sexual harassment is pretty rampant you would see news about it at least twice a month.

Especially in lowpoly or pixel art.
The only downside about this season is that it's raining more often than usual.
