Non-Gaming Hot Takes

Probably my hottest take but

I seriously don't get people that gets all bitchy and whiny about questionable stuff in fiction (I'm talking about showing dark themes like cannibalism or problematic relationships, I know the thread is about non-gaming hot takes but take the funni incest game as an example since it's the most recent thing I can think of), stuff like that has existed since ever but only recently I've seen people trying to censor and do genuine harm to people that have no ill intents and just try to share their (although questionable) creations.

I'm of the belief that fiction can't really have a hard impact on reality and censoring stuff that deviates from what is "morally correct" will drive us to a point where stuff depicting stuff like same sex attraction is going to be censored since this kind of thinking opens the door to people with actual ill intents that want and will take control over the censoring bodies to erase what they see as "morally incorrect"

At the end of the day, you can just simply choose to block and ignore people that shares that kind of content and keep going with your life

I have a lot of negative feelings towards cosplay community nowadays. Dont get me wrong 10 years ago it was my dream to become a good cosplayer but it was... just more fun. People did their cosplays, it was in bad taste to buy it. And it was about having fun, making something, living as your fav character for a day. Now i feel like its mostly made for gaining followers and just online fame. Without love for a time that you had to put into your costume. I know there are still people who make it a real craft but just... i dont like how people started just buying more costumes instead taking some time and making one yourself.

I gotta agree. Not necessarily that it's my favourite, but I think most of the show is really enjoyable. I do skip filler though.

Neither Digimon Adventure and Tamers are in my top three. My top three are Savers, Evolution X and Ghost Game.

Thank you! I watched most seasons of Digimon and then when they announce Adventure Tri every MFer i know was going "theyre bringing Digimon back!" And it was the most infuriating thing ever.

My hot take is that Dubs are fine and people need to chill the fuck out about it. (Sorry if someone's hot take is that Dubs suck).

Chinese Democracy is just as good as any other Guns N' Roses album. Yeah, it's just Axl with whatever musicians he hadn't fired yet and not Slash and the rest of the original band. It still is full of awesome guitar work and great singing. Feels more cohesive than the other albums. Not saying it's better than Use Your Illusion but is worthy to stand alongside those albums. Sure, Axl still had a huge ego, but it feels like this is maybe when some self-awareness started creeping in before he eventually chilled out a little bit. It's fair to dump on it considering the hype and how long it took to come out, but nothing he could have released would have been worthy of that sort of expectation.

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad other people can enjoy the oddly disgusting leaf and bean infused waters. I just don't get it like, at all. Clearly though, my taste is in the minority here. Also just to be clear, I do actually really like English muffins. I love how much butter you can get on those bad boys without it being too much, and I think they're delightfully crisp when toasted (though they are a pain in the ass to pull apart without ripping the bread more than I'd like). But, when it comes to tea and coffee, just think of it this way, I'm just happy to leave more for the people that like it. ​

Gonna leave the political side out of this.
The wrong side won WW1, i firmly believe that if the so called axis forces won ww1, russia wouldn't have fallen into soviet control and likely a good deal of the horrors of ww2 would not have happened and keep in mind i'm leaving the political side out of it and only talking about the knock on effects of it, the amount of death and slaughter over the last century could have been highly mitigated imo had the allies lost or it ended in a stalemate, just my take.

I agree with kurt russell, hollywood actors are jesters, the fans don't need to hear your personal opinions on anything, your job is to entertain the fans, not preach to them.

I hate really HATE, when I go to a Chinese restaurant, and while they make everything on the plate is made there in the restaurant, (the main entree, the rice, dumplings, etc.) the egg rolls are the frozen type you buy at the grocery store, deep fried. Feel "cheated" abit that while everything else tastes good, store bought egg roll. Come on, make you guys own, be amazing, don't be lazy. DAMN...
