Apparently the same activist investor company that suggested Nintendo stop making consoles and focus on mobile games ("Imagine paying money to make Mario jump higher!" - actual quote) just bought a bunch of Kadokawa and has their sights on Kadokawa's share of FromSoftware - all their fucking sclerotic investor brains can see is a big ol' spike called "Elden Ring" and then say "But then line went down - we can make go up again!" So that's gonna be fun.

I guarantee you that they look at ER and say "For fuck's sake, Caelid, the Haligtree, Volcano Manor, everything underground should've been separate DLCs. SotE could've been 3 DLCs at least. What a waste."

As for following Big N into the Switch 2 era, well, I don't know why folks would do that, but I do appreciate my collection of physical Switch games that actually, you know, contain and play games, rather than being DRM tokens like discs and KeyCards are now.

Well back when Nintendo joined the mobile market it got so big it is surprisingly they havent go just full mobile:

The truth is that, for now, mobile games are just gold mines if you have a good name backing it up. And considering how lame the modern gamers currently are, you can bring a cash grab bare bones game and they will just join because 'one day it will be great'.

Pictomo is out on Mobile and honestly, it's not too bad. There are a few flaws though such as purchasing the two volumes for a full game, you cannot use screenshots for the games, and it's a bit hard to add photos.
