It was eh. I wasn't a fan of any of the showcases of other companies, but Nintendo really dissapointed me in the sense of what i can look foward to THIS year. Xenoblade 4 looks good, but the fact that its a 2027 release really tells me that OoT is the big title for the rest of the year and we will get almost nothing else, which saddens me. Anything else is just "GAME FROM A WHILE AGO, SWITCH 2 EDITION"

It's pretty clear to me that Nintendo is leaving the rest to the Third Parties to support the system with either multiplat titles (which im happy to know Nintendo is no longer left behind as it was in the Wii U days, although you will catch me DEAD before "owning" a fucking Game Key Card), and even though im happy its getting this support, ever since i bought a PS5 all the Third Party ports for Nintendo lost the appeal immediately to me. Why buy a Switch 2 version of a game that likely runs better on a platform i already own? To play it portably? I barely undock my Switch anymore and i play it outside nowadays even LESS.

If 2021 version of me saw all the KH series (In NONCLOUD versions) getting releases on a Nintendo system i would have shat my pants, but now that i own them on Playstation (which is the reason i even bought a PS system in the first place) this feels a little too late for me. Switch 2 seems to be a decent upgrade for those who only owned a Switch and nothing else, and im open to the idea of buying one nowadays with DK Bananza, Splatoon Raiders, Kirby Air Riders, Xenoblade Genesis and maybe the occasional Switch 2 edition upgrade, but that will be likely 2 to 3 years from now on (assuming the system doesn't get a price increase of 250 or something like that, i miss console price drops)

Also fuck you for that 80 Dollar FE game, i wasn't willing to buy MK World with its mookslop roster, what makes you think im buying this game? Did FE overrepresentation in Smash really got to Nintendo's head?

Rhythm Heaven Fever was lit tho, i will buy that on Day 1.

The Kingdom Hearts 4 looks weird with the realistic models to me. The franchise is all about whimsical fantasy, and then insert visually realistic teenager characters in it, like a teenager Sora? The artstyle serms to lean more on the realism too. It's a weird choice. Makes me think of the weird updates to franchises to look more mature that went wrong...

This is something i hate about KH's modern artstyle. Even though the series barely features FF characters nowadays, the artstyle is more and more indistinguishable from FF than ever before. Compare this to the concept art of the first game, which clearly was Disney inspired, it makes the series lose its identity. Back then i could see Sora being friends with Donald and Goofy, now he looks like he is literally outgrowing them.

Also why the fuck is KH4 at a Direct Reveal, Rayman at the State of Play and Castlevania at the Xbox Showcase? these should have been switched around.

Why is the Ocarina of Time remake a thing? There's already a remake on the 3DS. Wouldn't it be easier to port that with some changes to accommodate a different console than doing another remake from scratch?

My guess is that they are using it to test the waters to see if people really want a Pre-BotW style Zelda since this is what the "hardcore loyal fenz" of the franchise (that obviously represent %999999999 of the fandom which is why Botw was a complete success and anyone who likes them is a FAKE FANtm) want.

Zelda oldhead fans would not survive the CV fanbase post-1997.

Man, i can't wait for people to disregard OG Ocarina of Time as garbage when the remake comes out, or simply call it inferior, because that's the popular thing to do these days!

And i don't wanna see a reply from anyone here (looking at you @BrawlMan) telling me that isn't the case for RE4, RE3, Silent Hill, FF7 and many others these days, don't reply to me telling me that isn't the case, that the popular opinion these days is that the OG's are unplayable garbage because that's how most people "think" these days.

Every disscussion i encounter with remakes 90% of the time is "remakes are not needed" at best, or an unironic representation of the hyperbole strawman im trying to mock above at worst. (im not even saying the users i mentioned above said all remakes are bad, but its pretty clear "remake culture" is not as popular as people say it is among the gaming public)

Seeing a teenager dressed in a fantasy costume like Sora, with shorts, is like seeing Robin Williams dressed as Peter Pan.

I love Robin Williams, but that movie was weird, and sad.

To each their own, but me personally if a game that has not seen the light of day in ages gets anything at all, I’m celebrating like it’s the Fourth of July. Like when I learned that Dodonpachi Resurrection is supposed to get a new version at some point or when Muchi Muchi Pink Sweets was revealed to finally leave the Xbox 360

I hope Ketsui Deathtiny will be on the NS1 and PC.

I am glad Klonoa finally got a decent remake (compared to the Wii one) yet I'm mad that Bamco didn't do anything more about the series after.
