So today's Nintendo Direct or "Partner's Sword Direct" was um...okay.

Not many mainline Nintendo Switch 2 exclusives other than Ocarina of Time Remake, Xenoblade Genesis, DK Challenge, Switch Sports Resort, more info on Rhythm Heaven Fever, Splatoon Raiders and Fire Emblem Fortune's Weave, Xenoblade 1 2 & 3 Switch 2 updates, Star Fox again. And the rest were dark souls like games and games with swords. I don't know, for Switch 2's 1st year anniversary, this was bad. For any Kingdom Hearts fans who's excited for IV, that's fine, but this was the direct I wasn't hoping for.

D

Games I'm getting from this Direct
Ocarina of Time Remake
Xenoblade Genesis
DK Challenge
Fire Emblem Fortune's Weave
Splatoon Raiders
Star Fox
Switch Sports Resort
Rhythm Heaven Fever

We knew half of it, kind of sad we didn't get to see anything MARIO related besides Donkey Kong I guess and no gameplay of Ocarina of Time. Hoping OoT isn't open world

I hate you Nintendo... Sexoooooooooblade 4 (?) and dark skinned people on a anime rpg ( 3 days before my birthday) 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

I took a quick peek at the line-up. Other than "Rhythm Heaven Groove" and the (now 2nd) "Ocarina of Time" remake, nothing really piqued my interest. I think I made the right choice sitting this particular Direct out lol.

there was duskblood but only a teaser for a upcoming network test
We are going to get nothing for 3+ more years from FROMsoft cause they put there focus on some shitty multiplayer game instead of making a single player experience, why God

Seems no one's adressing the elephant in the room. /j

A shitty multiplayer made by someone who doesn't know how to do it in a console that doesn't work properly with those games

Not the worst thing of all time, not the best. OOT remake is pretty cool, but I don't have a Switch 2 yet!

Still waiting for some new Mario info, lol. It's been 9 years since the last 3d game! No shade to Wonder.

New Final Fantasy in the HD 2D style looks interesting:

Also a Muramasa remake I believe:

And Orbitals with a release date:

And a Dark Arisen version for Dragon's Dogma 2?!

Also Ninjala 2 looks interesting in a Breath of the Wild kind of way:

I think overall, by what I've seen, that this presentation rivals Sony's last State of Play. There's interesting stuff announced but nothing mindblowing.

It was rather boring. The chat was so fucking annoying though.

As someone who is madly in love with Xenoblade and the games that Monolith Soft pump out despite the restrictions of Nintendo's actual hardware and thus transcends belief every single time . . .

I'm a little ... disappointed? I don't feel 'Monolith Soft' in this one besides the landscaping that's present at the very end of the trailer.

I don't know if it's clicking with me or not, the Academy setting worries me since I'm so tired of games that force you into a massive academics style setting of school before the big adventure. All other Xeno games before it gave you a environment that makes you shudder and anticipate what's to come.

I thought the next Xenoblade entry was going to be what forces me to get a Switch 2, but I guess my wallet's safe.

Tsuki do you think its a prequel or an entire new timeline like X?

They need to ban the word Deltarune from chat in these kinds of events, chat was trash.

Wasn't expecting Kingdom Hearts 4 drop from a Nintendo Direct honestly. Wasn't this series Playstation royalty up until Ps3?

Muramasa remake or sequel looks hype, finally it'll be free from the Vita and Wii jail. So pumped for it.

Final Fantasy Resonance looks fun. I don't think it'll be a big game but it'll be fun.

Also releasing Switch Sports Resort in the same month as Grand Theft Auto VI is a ballsy move by Nintendo. Almost trollish considering everyone releasing their games in September because of GTA. Masterful gambit.

I guess Ocarina of Time remake looks ok, will probably buy a Switch 2 for it (when i can pirate games on it lmao)

I thought the direct was alright, OOT remake seems fun.... on paper. so we'll see!
I'm being nice and this is coming from someone who does not have a Switch 2 either.

It says 'a new beginning' but I feel like it might have some threads to the
Connected Worlds ending from 3 and Future Redeemed
. It doesn't feel distinct enough in setting like X is to truly believe it's a completely new timeline.

Trailer says 'it's a new beginning' in the description, but that's pretty vague in of itself.

The Kingdom Hearts 4 looks weird with the realistic models to me. The franchise is all about whimsical fantasy, and then insert visually realistic teenager characters in it? The artstyle serms to lean more on the realism too. It's a weird choice. Makes me think of the weird updates to franchises to look more mature that went wrong...
