Sadly that happens, MMOs normally demand too much of your time in order to make any significant progress, or they absorb all your time. At least WoW retail is quite casual friendly right now, even though I much prefer vanilla's style and progressionbut found I don't have the patience to play this style of game anymore
I've always found MMOs to be purposefully designed to be addictive. Not only that, but they're also generally worse than singleplayer games, with too many compromises being made. The only good aspects of MMOs, like their sense of community, are arguably dead in the current year.I had to swear off MMOs. No more for me, thanks.
They just take up too much time and become an addiction for me. Its so much worse if you become part of a guild and then you feel obligated to play so that you're contributing.
At least with single player games, I can put them down for a week if I have stuff to do.
