Mental health thread

Everytime I try to get back on track the realization of how pointless it is gets worse, so I think "failing" in this case will make me feel much better. By the way, hi reddy.
But everything is pointless if you think about it.
Instead of worrying about result or what people think, do it because it will leave a footnote in your legacy, good or bad.
It might be trash, but it's MY trash, right? At least that's how I approach it.

I've always found the pointlessness of everything in the end oddly comforting. Nothing matters except the subjective meaning we give things, so live your life on your own terms. You may not fit a traditional definition of normal, but in a million years who's gonna care?

A few days ago I decided to cut back on social media. I don't feel any mood improvement yet, but I've managed to stop myself from looking at posts tagged with political tags.

Dunno if this fits into this thread, but I just felt like sharing.
Cut back completely on social media besides messaging for a while and you’ll realise how good you feel, that said, the fact that you’re even trying in the first thing is commendable in of itself! ?

I hope it works out for you and makes you feel better. Cutting out social media was one of the best online decisions I ever made.

Congrats mane, that's a very meaningful step. Meanwhile I'm here thinking if I should have an overdose. You don't wanna end up like that so keep at it.

That’s great to hear.
I did the same when NFTs appeared all over Twitter because it made me miserable because art Twitter was completely ruined by it. It took a while to sort of cleanse all that frustration, but it felt great once I didn’t have to think about it anymore.

You're still young, D. I had those thoughts a lot too, but it can and will get better.

I don't know if you’re joking or not but please make sure to eat well and don't be afraid to ask for help, withdrawals can be reduced with a balanced diet and stability.

If you want to cut back slightly, reduce your cannabis intake in a week and see what happens, or try to at least do it weekly.

Practice self-management and self-awareness, don't listen to the junkies because their brain is filled with extract lmao

This is the last time i take any sleep medication. I think it gave me a fucking stomach ache.

Both bc I hate myself and to see if I can become smart

I think I worry too much about the others' wellbeing instead of mine
You won't become smart by doing that, plus, being smart is subjective since there’s so many aspects ( IQ, EQ, ) that it depends on the person.

Honestly, and I mean this with no offense, but I think you should just get off of social media for a while and only use it to message friends and family.

And I know that may seem difficult but it really isn't, Social Media purposefully preys on your insecurity and cutting back on it is a huge addition to mental health.

I like being online and I will never take a long break from it, as unhealthy as it might sound. And i'm too introvert and I have asperger anyways.

What about simply cutting back? Placing restricted hours so you don't doom-scroll and have a limited time on it?
