I’m not blown away by what I see, but I haven’t even seen much GAME yet. Benefit of the doubt will be given. I’m so happy he’s back I was actually shaking so hard. I was in a Mega Man mood this past week too! It’s a sign!

I think it's purely for marketing purposes. Mega Man 11 sold very well for a Mega Man game, but the fact that it had the number "11" in its title might have deterred some people into buying it. You can already see Capcom shying away from the numbers a bit with Resident Evil - they still technically have their numbers, but they're now hidden in the subtitles (like the VIII in Village or the 9 in Requiem).

It could also mean that this game is going to deviate from the previous games in some way. I love the classic Mega Man formula as much as the next person, but it would be interesting to see them try something different.

I'm actually happy it still has those ports, because that means the online store will stay active until 2027 at least, and I can finish getting the rest of the games on my wishlist.

But finally, after all these years, we are getting Mega Man Twelv-they have stopped numbering them? Or is it gonna be a Mega Man 8/ & Bass case? I mean , this one shares the same engine of the previous one.

X9 and Legends 3 (and I suppose Star Force 4 since I know people wants that, if not a ZX3? Idk) and then imo mission accomplished, Capcom.

Seen how Capcom has treated Mega man over the years I skeptic as hell. The trailers did show much but I do hope it´s not another try at the Gacha game market like MEGA MAN X DiVE was that got such a backlash they turned it in to a Offline game with out the money gacha mechanic.

Hes back people say nah man Mega man has never left the building it´s just all Capcom has done with the IP is collections and a try at Gacha games. Then in 2020 also did a Rockman VR: A Targeted Virtual World!!. And in 2026 we will get a Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection.

But yeah we are not back because we ain´t never left to begin with. It´s just Capcom has not done a proper mega man game sense 2018´s Mega man 11.

So don´t be such damn suckers and hype the game to death. Man this is why I hate fandom´s" Companies get away with all kind of evil bullshit because fans hearing their favorite name brand and lose their shit and throw money at what ever it is..

it will be fun to see if this game ad something new to mega man or just follow the classic mega man formula

Why should it matter? I'm fine with self-contained stories like Mario's.

Continuity can bring issues.

DUDE PLEASE GIVE US BASS! It’s been so long! Let me see the boi! I don’t even need him to be playable, I just want a new boss fight! Though, him being playable would be a nice surprise…

Also, Proto Man is comfirmed to be returning. I like to imagine that he may be a second campaign character, but it’s also possible that he’s a secondary character going on his own adventure parallel to ours!
