what are your favourite games that have a painfully depressing and oppressive atmosphere? Like, the act of playing it makes you feel kinda miserable but it’s that feeling that gives it its unique beauty.

I try to escape distopia when playing, not import it.

But... Deus Ex, The Last Of Us, the Call Of Duty series before it got (more) stupid, Oddworld: Abe's Odyssey, Fallout, etc.

Counter-Strike. Because I have to deal with a lot of BULLSHIT teammates but still fun nonetheless.

But jokes aside, and going back to your question, deadbolt. It take place in the underworld but the lore and the gameplay makes it interesting. And its OSTs are such a vibe
