Is there something she does in the Archie comics that drives people so crazy? Or is it literally just that she's a mom and that's all it takes?

To my knowledge she's only ever mentioned in the games and she doesn't really do anything crazy in the comics except sacrifice herself to save Cream (Everything turns out alright in the end and she comes back though).
