I don't know why i want to share/talk about this. I love doing tier list and stuff, but to be quite fair i tend to be very positive about the media i like 😅

Let's change that. What is for you the worst game of the franchises you like.

I will start with my two favorites at the moment: Castlevania and Fire Emblem.

Castlevania is very obvious to me... is Judgement.

Is a mess that i can't really defend. The existence of this game is a lot of missed potential and it hurts. I love fighting games and i love Castlevania. But this game does not make justice to the concept of a Castlevania Fighting game. At least it has great music (because it mostly remixes of already great songs) and i like some of the designs of the characters, even if they are a bit polarizing. Also shout out to this game for recognizing Grant (but why no characters from the Sorrow games, Soma and Julius would be soo cool).

And for Fire Emblem i had a more hard deciding what game i disliked the most (aside from Heroes) but to be honest i think the game i wanna replay the least is Fire Emblem Fates Birthright.
febirthright-boxsquare-1641674037857.jpg

Previously i had Revelations lower but to be honest, Revelations at least make me feel something: Pain and annoyance. BUT Birthright is just boring. It has nothing going for it, the characters are cool but they are also on the Revelations Route, and i find them enjoying more of them in that route because Birthright is really boring and easy. Also i hate Kill all the enemies objectives and Birthright is Fire Emblem Genocide Route in terms that it is mostly rout maps. Which ironic because is supose to be the the good guys route. The story is bad in all of the Fates Routes, but Birthright is the blandest one by far. At least Conquest and Revelations have the "is soo bad that is funny" kind of story.

Thats all from me. Hope you are having a great day and i will love to read some of your least favorites :3

The worst Megaman game is Megaman 9 but the Megaman I dislike the most is Megaman 8

I love max Payne 3 but I can never go back to it due to unskippable cutscenes. Even the GBA max Payne is easier to replay

The GBC GTA is the single only gta I’ve truly disliked my whole life. Both versions.

The worst musou in general are the pirate warriors games (they also double as my least favorite one piece games)

But for mainline musou, dynasty warriors 2 and samurai warriors 4 are two games I’m equally “meh” on.

Fairy sure there was a topic about this already, but I can't find it at the moment... anyway:

Deus Ex: Invisible War.

The Last Of Us Part II.

Jet Grind Radio Future.
Holy shit. I was planning on doing a deep dive on DE one day and IW just so happens to be the one game I plan to skip because I simply do not vibe with it.

Final Fantasy XII

I played and enjoyed (some more than others) a lot of FF games: 1 (psp), 3 and 4 (ds remake), 5 (gba remake), 7-8-9 (ps1), 10 and 10.2 (vita), 13 (xbox), and various spinoff (Tactics Advance 1 and 2, World of FF, Chocobo game on ds, Crisis Core on psp, and maybe some other I don't remember).

I also would like to try FF2 and FF6, oh and I've played FF15 pocket on Switch!

The only one I started 4 times (two on ps2 and two on Switch) is FF12; everytime I played for a few hours, and then stopped it, and other games came and took its place.

I know I don't like the gambit system (I prefer all-action or classic menu turn-based, I know all the good reason beyond gambit but it simply didn't click with me), so that's probably why I always dropped it.

It wouldn't be a bad game if it didn't carry the Deus Ex name. The fact that it was made as a sequel to (arguably) the greatest PC game of all-time really hurt it before it was even out. We call it Deus Xbox and Deus Ex: Twitter Edition for a reason.

love doing tier list and stuff
Don't we all ? :p

I actually love Castlevania Judgement, is that ok ? 😅

and samurai warriors 4

Duuuuuuuude stop making me hate you 😂😂

As much as i like to say “look is gta on a gameboy” i have to agree on that 🥲 the gbc versions of gta are not fun to play
Yeah believe me that was my mindset too. I really loved the idea and was onboard. Hated the game from minute one though. GBadv gta is way better. And Chinatown wars is even amazing.

Hahaha that’s ok. I accept that’s not a common opinion and I’m not like, trying to influence anyone or anything hahaha. Just my two cents.

Probably my most inflammatory (but totally sincere) take. I am specifically talking Persona rather than SMT as a whole.

Also Mega Man & Bass or 8 is the worst in classic blue bomber series. Twilight Princess is the worst mainline Zelda (although TotK gives it competition). FFTA lacks the pedigree and weight of the original's narrative and prose, and has less team building potential than A2 so ig it's the worst in that little trilogy. OH and I do believe that Ultimate is the worst Smash Bros title.

Thank you.
I will not be taking further questions.

Oh, good, I'm not the only one that thinks that! as for Mega Man 8, I think it's great, honestly, but I dislike the fact the bosses are separated into two sets of 4. Because stages are built around gimmicks, you don't get to experiment with different orders and I hate that.

Now, for the question at hand... let me think for a minute...

Just a small disclaimer: I hate numbering games with roman numerals, it's not practical and it adds nothing to a game's value, sorry if that bothers you.

Final Fantasy: 13, but also 8.

Monster Hunter: Base Tri. The amount of jank is unbearable.

Advance Wars: Dual Strike. They tried to cram too much in there and balance doesn't exist (love Sasha, though).

Shinobi: Shinobi X. Why would they trade beautiful sprites for pre-rendered graphics? ugh.

Star Ocean: Star Ocean 3. Dying from the lack of MP? great idea!

Breath Of Fire: Dragon Quarter. Do I need to say anything?

Shining: Anything after Shining Force 3 is not a real Shining Game.

Sonic: Any 3D Sonic, sorry Adventure fans.

Castlevania: The Lords of Shadow Duology. It's just generic and doesn't feel right.

Xeno: I only really like Xenogears, I wish it was handled properly.

There are likely many more examples I can give, but there you go.

.. I feel like most of us really dislike modern stuff so I was trying to pick some from a franchises I grew up with! And I ended up picking Halo Reach as my first one. It's the last good Halo to me but it's also my least favourite Halo game. I'm not a big Halo fan, the xbox was my brothers console but we always played co op together and Reach just didn't do it for me.

Next has to be Turok 2, obviously 3 isn't that great and everything after that is basically really bad but when it comes to mainline games I'd rather even play through Rage Wars than 2 again because it's just very tedious after a certain point. I like it, I want to like it more, I love Turok but I just get sick of it.

Mario Sunshine hands down. It's not bad, I just dislike the fact that we don't have the same level of platforming that we once had. I know you can say the same for the other games that followed but Sunshine was very disappointing for me back in the day because being able to wall jump and scale things was the best part of 3D Mario for me.

Munch's Odysee, again it's not a terrible game I just felt like it wasn't a good transition in to 3D. Some levels are really fun, there's a lot of character and soul to the game but the actual gameplay isn't something I found enjoyable at the time.

Those are just from the top of my head, I have a terrible habit of liking almost everything usually but those games seem to really come to mind when I think about it. There's probably cooler, more obscure or patrician games I could mention for internet points but these I really dislike!

Yes, explain yourself, because I love the game and my sword is ready to punish you

Nah actually I understand ahah.

I did love Shinobi X too.

It just gave me some serious whiplash looking at those graphics after coming from the beautifully sprited/animated Shinobi 3 (actually Super Shinobi 2. I hate the fact the west tacitly considers Shadow Dancer and Super Shinobi to be part of the same continuity).

It felt like I was looking at a cheap late 90s sentai show.

You just explained why I love it 😁

It loved it gameplay wise too.

But yeah objectively far from being as good as the older entries.
That's the thing, the gameplay actually evolved Shinobi 3, iterated on it, on that respect it was a true sequel, but, man... like I said, the 32 bit 3D push was a mistake. Let those machines push beautiful sprites instead. Both the Saturn and the PS1 were at their best when creating mixed graphics games (2D sprites, 3D fields).

People like to dump on the Saturn's 3D capabilities, but I beg to differ, in reality things were pretty even. The PS1 got beautiful 3D by the end (FF9 for instance) but that was mostly because it was given a chance to mature, the Saturn didn't get that chance.

Breath Of Fire: Dragon Quarter. Do I need to say anything?
DRAGON QUARTER??? SEMINAL ARTFUL MASTERWORK DRAGON QUARTER???? have you played the most boilerplate 16bit rpg ever made sorry, the first Breath of Fire??

I know you said no further questions buut just in case you change your mind I'm genuinely interested on why
I'll write my reasons down in a letter and mail it to you. All you need to do is procure me the stamps.

Yes LOL. While I realize BoF 1 it's not groundbreaking and has its problems, it gets a pass from me for being the first. Dragon Quarter has a sort of dissonance I cannot reconcile.
