Live Action Kamen Rider fan thread

I've been watching Kamen Rider since 2011 and it's my favorite TV show of all time. I haven't watched all of them but I have watched most of them. This thread is a dedicated space to all fans of the series. Feel free to discuss your favorite riders, monsters, episodes, movies, bikes, collectibles, or anything else associated with the franchise you like. Just make sure to mark your spoilers for anything concerning the currently airing season or any other recently released media.

Let me get this thread started!

My favorite seasons are Den-O, Fourze, and Ex-Aid.
My favorite collectibles are the Rider Gashats.
My favorite monsters are the Another Riders.
My favorite bike is Machine Massigler.

I've spent the last few years obsessed with this franchise, to the point where I've changed fundamentally after watching most of what I did lol.

All I can say is that godai yusuke? Best rider character of them all.

I'm currently watching Ex-Aid and it must be kinda humiliating to be hiiro.

i know the dif between era's and all in kamen rider, but i don't watch them in tv order release

overall, a very lit franchise, like super sentai is, iconic tokusatsu series

Ughhhhh I haven’t watched Rider in a while. I’m still on Hibiki (took a 4 year break from toku, bad idea i know) and I really need to continue it…I’m trying to watch every series in order haha.

Btw, gashats are really cool, but also, really noisy. So I don't know if I like them or not XD

I found Saber's jingles to be the most noisiest, still cool tho.
Didja know most of Gashat level up song is referencing other Hironobu Kageyama's songs?

I finally got into Kamen Rider after years of procrastinating thanks to a friend who we are watching movies and shows online together

We finished Kamen Rider GEATS along with the majority of movies and Specials, (excluding the live concepts ones and 2 extras we couldn't find with English Subs)
I really enjoyed GEATS! Good and Interesting characters, a nice variety of transformations!

Because of the movie Geats × Revice: Movie Battle Royale my friend was curious to check Revice so that's the one we are currently watching together (we left it on episode 10 so far) and I watched Ryuki of my own!

We Both like Vice, he left a really strong impression on both of us!
He is like a fusion of Deadpool and Venom

However, I don't want to sound critical against REVICE but... does the pacing of the show gets any better?
Maybe it's because I went from Geats and Ryuki, but Revice's pacing feels extremely chaotic and really fast, with not enough time to absorb the characters' interactions! Not to mention the protagonist gets transformations like they are candies (The company has been really aggresive with pushing TOYS with Revice, huh?)

On my own

• I Finished Kamen Rider Ryuki (+ Plus special episode, the Movie and Rider Time: Kamen Rider Ryuki) and then I went back to re-watched Geats × Revice movie for the Ryuki characters!
• I'm halfway of Kamen Rider Agito, also really enjoying it, going to watch Kamen Rider Kuuga after that

I pretty much went Backwards , I'm going to stay on watching on my own the Heisei Era!

To be honest, Revice is one of the more consistent series with it's pacing, yeah it is kinda fast but it stays that way throughout the show, I enjoy it personally.
Some others' pacing are all over the place, like Saber (only in the first half, it gets better in the second half), Zero One (due to covid in the middle of shooting, so can't say much) and Ghost (main writer took a time off mid series, the production crew are scraping around keeping the show alive, oh and it's the same writer as Saber). The are also some shows that has slow burn, like Faiz in particular, but still pretty good.

Well they've been pushing toys since waaaay back then, it became much more aggressive since Decade to W era though.

Don't marathon it man, just watch it once eps per week is fine.

I just remembered, my first ever first interaction with Kamen Rider Media was... unfortunately... Saban's Masked Rider as a Kid, it aired in my country! Since I experienced it watching it from first hand! YEP IT WAS BAD!

and Big Bad Beetleborgs as another localized Tokusatsu

Spoiler: Look back this guys, he looks like Vinny Vinesauce's GREY LENO... or just regular Jay Leno

Also after finishing Ryuki, there is NO WAY I'm going to watch the American adaptation now, Kamen Rider Dragon Knight, I got too invested with the Ryuki's cast and their costumes and seeing their armors being Frankensteined and puppetered in another Highschool Drama... yeah no thanks

Another reason I chose to watch Ryuki after Geats was because the characters in the Geats × Revice: Movie Battle Royale left a REALLY strong impression on me and I had the need to learn more of them and the context of their actions

Shouts out to the Youtuber, Frapollo94, for bringing up to light an old RPG MAKER game that is a gigantic crossover story, in the style of Capcom x Namco

Yes, this game also includes Toku characters, and the Kamen Rider included in it was Shinji Kido... Ryuki

Spoiler: For those curious, jump to @47:37 where Shinji Kido gets to the Story (also Wonder Momo before, and Bravoman afer)

After that I felt the stars were Aligned and I wanted to check Agito even more!

I really wanna continue Ryuki but Tokus being like 45-50 episodes long is making me a bit tired thinking about watching the entire thing...

I tend to watch 3-5 Episodes per day depending on the mood
