By "Western animation" they meant American animation? Because even in the past lots of anime that were popular worldwide were co-productions with European countries and they were mostly based on popular European books, fairy tales, folklore, mythologies etc. Also American animation already died after the golden age of American animation ('30s - '60s) when American cartoon moved from the glorious, classic cinema cartoon shorts to the cheapass, boring, puritan tv cartoon shows. The only times American cartoon tv shows didn't looked cheapass were when they were outsourced to Japanese anime studios.I remember some refusing to release Akira in the West because "it will kill the western animation industry" (despite having people animating in Asia for several American shows).

Yet they demand from you every kind of personal information, including the ones that are totally unrelated with your job resumes. Also there are jobs that demand from you to have social media, even if your job position doesn't actually requires from you to have social media.Even resumes nowadays don't ask you to put your face on it (to avoid judgement or discrimination) thankfully.
The part about not asking for you to put your face "to avoid judgement or discrimination" sounds like a stupid, pointless virtue signaling shit to pretend they care about you. Besides many jobs still require from their employees to be young, female and good looking. Especially for jobs like shops sellers and waiters/waitresses.
