I'm not sure of my musical taste, cannot make sense of it. I just listen to whatever seems good to listen, despite I don't really like them per se. I have a whole playlist for such songs even from languages I don't understand lol:

For example I have a genre I have in my mind for video games and books I like, I have no sense of genre for music and whatever visual media like movies, animes, tv series, et cetera. Weird lol.

Thanks for shearing always love to discover new bangers.

I mostly stick to instrumental and orchestral music(Classic, Baroque and Ost, for the most part), other interests involve 80 and 90 punk/ska, a bit of Epic metal when I'm in the mood, classic rock, Jazz and Blues, Andean folklore music, Bossa nova among others.

i'm not very picky, usually veering to particular things by my mood. i like some oldies i heard a lot growing up like Queen and ABBA but i also have a huge library of eurobeat, though haven't kept up since the original compilation series ended. i've got a fair few game and anime soundtracks too.
often when i'm trying to look for something new, i'll look at what may have influenced stuff i already listen to. for example lately i'd been looking into a lesser known guitarist and composer named Bill Nelson since he collaborated with one of my favourite groups, Yellow Magic Orchestra, who themselves i first came across since they influenced some game soundtracks.

I have a very wide range of music i like Rap,Trap/Drill, No Wave, Noise,Experimental , Death Metal, 80's Thrash, Happy Hardcore/Hard Trance/Darkcore and Agrotech.

I have variety most of you could only dream of having

I mostly stick to rock subgenres, but within that, it ranges from Sum 41 to Napalm Death, and anywhere in between is fair game.

I had to explain why I had German jazz, JCountry and JRock, Polish pop despite only knowing english. Which on that side my mix could go from Chicago to 16Volt to Jonny Cash to Luther Vandross. I like to think that if the world were to go 28 Days later I want to have at least 7 hours of what the world was before the zombies find me.

I love a wide range of music. Here is just some of the random stuff I listen too from all corners:

I'm intentionally picking songs from genres (or partially inspired by a genre) that I'm otherwise not into or don't like.

(listener discretion is advised for the following one, there's sexual stuff and violence)

My taste is an eldritch horror that specifically excludes AI, Country, Extratone, and Black Metal because I have standards

I noticed that most of the music I like tends to derive from rock in some form, or disco/funk. Unfortunately I grew up with my parents always playing Nickelback CDs so I did end up liking some of their songs, but as I grew older and more interested in Japanese culture I began listening to more music from there which has helped with my studying and word recognition.

Before that, I was big into Portugal. The Man and own some of their CDs still—same with CHIC, and I think the latter was influenced by playing games such as Jet Set Radio and Space Channel 5 as a kid, so my love of funk/disco/shibuya-kei ended up being derived from those types of OSTs I think.

I hate heavy metal though. It's just way too loud and abrasive for me.

Hmm, speaking of music that I love listening to for sleeping over recently started listening to bgms on final Fantasy pixel remasters from 1 to 6. Got those on Android a few years back and haven't really finished them or played them extensively. Figured it would be a waste not to use it even as a music player.
