my hot gaming take that i have increasingly lost cool for as i have gotten older is that i just do not care about nintendo properties whatsoever. i did not grow up in a country where nintendo had a significant market hold compared to its competitors, so i did not grow up with the fondness for these properties seemingly the rest of the world did. i understand and give respect/venerance etc to the important milestone nintendo releases i.e old mario and zelda etc but holy shit do i not care about any modern nintendo stuff and it is absolutely everywhere in gaming discourse

Despite growing up with Playstation and Nintendo, I'm strangely leaning more toward Sega properties, Sakura Wars, Shinobi, and Crazy Taxi was my jam. I'm one of those guys who were not hyped seeing Mario Kart on Switch 2 Trailer, dude gimme something else, you can't convince me with Mario, show me the third parties then ima reconsider.

Can't exactly point finger here, they all need to exist.
The guardians to make sure their kids don't have easy access to saucy stuff, the artist to at least try to prevent minors to access their saucy stuff, AND the kids themselves to develop self-awareness and maturity to handle such thing responsibly, trouble comes when one of these doesn't work.

Even if you lie about being 18 I think it's mostly for the legality of it (like saying that "The event and person portrayed are fictional, anything that may be real is purely coincidental" or "any person portrayed in this piece of media are adults over 18").

I understand why artists are putting this, mostly to not get accused of showing inappropriate content to young ones.

Thus my earlier argument about sex-ed, rather than keeping kids off NSFW subject entirely, we should educate them instead, let 'em approach it in a controlled environment so if bad things do happen, both the guardians or the artist have the capability to minimize the damage.

I heard that S-E is quite bad in some states (especially regarding promoting abstinence over telling how to protect and prevent disease spreading or unwanted pregnancy).


But then it's a cultural thing, I know that even breastfeeding is seen as inappropriate despite being the primary function of these (there was a french movie opening with a scene which is important to the plot about how, despite not being biologically related, are still brothers since they had the same caretaker).

While I'm sad that my favourite Nintendo IP's are barely used (especially F-zero) I am still happy to see Metroid returning in several forms in the current gen.

But I'm not the kind to say "I'm too old for these kiddy games" because while they're family-friendly most of the time they're not made only for kids. Sadly this discourse around the PS1-PS2 era led to have Rareware releasing edgier games (especially Conker) or having US Nintendo ad becoming gross which I despise (it's one of the few things from the 90's I don't miss).

I'd still argue that Zelda is one of the most important franchises that redefined how games were made (especially Ocarina of Time) even without being a fan of it.

And yes, I'm more fan of Sega's IP (well, especially pre-end of Dreamcast ones).

Mario Kart is fine, I love the 64 episode but I prefer F-zero the most.

Final Fantasy 8 is a good game. People were just too lazy to understand the junction system.

I'd argue that the Junction System should've been more properly explained.


And mine is that the Sphere Grid from X was good on paper but tedious in execution (especially in the Standard one where you're forced down a path instead of allowing more freedom).

I wish there was a standard level up system but then the Grid would be for skill and magic instead of having to apply a sphere just to get +200 HP or +2 Attack.

Even better if skill trees were allowing you to change them (for a price) instead of knowing your current character is forever messed because you put the wrong skill.

As much as it's a bad filter I'd take that over showing ID or a credit card to have access on these sites. Privacy is an important thing online even if the IP can get accessed easily.

Lmao, sorry it's not about you but Sandy is actually one of the rare 90's female character that was both non sexualised nor becoming the girlfriend of the protagonist which is sadly hard to do since back in the 90's a female had to be sensual in some way (hey Lara) or systematically becoming the gf (hello Moonlighting) when a (heterosexual) guy and gal can be just friend without anything else.

It reminds me of 4kids censoring many things, including text on anything.

I love Autumn themed levels in games.

Oh yeah I just remembered another one.

PEPSI AND COLA SUCK and all other sorts of soft drinks they go overboard with sugar they taste meh at best they make you quite lazy by being quite heavy they also have this stingy effect thats annoying to deal with.

The only tolerable one I find is mountain dew an overrated piece of drinkable junk , TEA is the best followed by Yerba mate an amazing drink 10/10.

You will try to say "but what about diet coke" it tastes even worse than the normal one to me it looks like they wanted to cash in people who are into diet and weight loss but I think if you are doing a proper diet you won't be drinking soft drinks honestly.

Just give Yerba mate a try its worth it.

Anime should never be dubbed, japanese dub is the best there is.
Star Wars second trilogy is underrated.

Final Fantasy 8 is a good game. People were just too lazy to understand the junction system.

I played FF VIII all Of My Childhood, and teenager days, but The junction system is a broken Mess, You can break The game really easy, making The difficulty non existant, or really hard if You don't pay attention to the boring tutorials, the characters are really bland or plain, except Squall or Laguna. But The OST is really good though.

Same here, the taste overpowers the rest too much. It's the same with olives on pizza for me.

It's loud, it splashes, and you gotta stand there and aim instead of relaxing. I dunno about the rest of you but I don't want peeing to be some sort of minigame!
The only reason I can think of is if you've got a gigantic wang that might touch the bowl if you sit.

1. Hokuto no Ken not needing a remake is a very overrated idea. Sorry, but HnK remake would be the PERFECT opportunity to make anime FAITHFUL TO THE MANGA. Sorry anime-onlies, I respect the manga more than I respect nostalgia.

Hokuto no Ken anime remake would be a good idea before 2020. But with most modern anime remakes being trash and heavily censored comparing to the manga they're based on or the older anime adaptions, a modern HnK anime remake would be anything but faithful. Which is why I'm skeptical about the remake they announced few years ago. I hope I'll get proved wrong. But seeing how even tame manga like Urusei Yatsura get butchered at their modern anime remakes....

I gotta say no , fall and spring aren't as good as summer , both are mix of cold and hot you are constantly switching between the 2 and fever in fever out during spring and allergies oh god.....winter has its vibes but summer is unbeatable in every regard.

Summer can be tedious depending where you live.

Sometimes the scorching sun and high temperature are making nights unbearable even when without any clothes.

And I won't talk about mosquitoes.

that's life in florida, for usually about8-10 months out of the year. there's already bugs and lizards running about outside right now.

This is why in those regions there are a ton of building made with a lot of shadow inside to keep the freshness.

But back on the hot take subject, can we talk about people who are just standing in the middle or left of escalators? Why are they doing that?

I find them tedious to climb as well because steps are too high... normal stairs are better.
