Just listen at this:I love Koyasu's voice but I agree, he sounded more monstrous/otherworldly in there.

It's still incredible how close the modern voice was to that one.Just listen at this:
Dunno why the David productions guys didnt hire him backIt's still incredible how close the modern voice was to that one.
Maybe the low-fi sample made him even more threatening.
FFIX was more classic but I kinda agree that VIII and X onwards made it more realistic instead of keeping the "fantasy" part of the series.I don't like the art style of Final Fantasy past VII, with the software upgrades they should've stick with making the games look like Amano's art as much as possible, anything past VII is not aesthetically cohesive to me at all
I'm guessing you just mean Nomura's art in general.I don't like the art style of Final Fantasy past VII, with the software upgrades they should've stick with making the games look like Amano's art as much as possible, anything past VII is not aesthetically cohesive to me at all
They should've used this art style for some of the remasters, but I know that requires WAY more effort and creativity than Square is willing to put in.No I meant Yoshitaka Amano, I expressed myself wrong

This hurt my feelings. I enjoy led Trilogy even if it is kusoge. That and I have a soft spot for the 3D titles on PS2 even if they didn't age well. Now the question remains...Mortal Kombat wasnt good until 9
That's the thing. It never got really refined until 9. If we're talking broken, well, almost all of them are, lol. This hurt my feelings. I enjoy led Trilogy even if it is kusoge. That and I have a soft spot for the 3D titles on PS2 even if they didn't age well. Now the question remains...
Are you correct?
Mortal Kombat wasn't refined until 9 so on those terms then yes.
It is the truth and I don't like itThat's the thing. It never got really refined until 9. If we're talking broken, well, almost all of them are, lol.

Ehhhh, lots of people like broken games anyways, ask 3rd Strike fans, lol.It is the truth and I don't like it![]()
But as long as YOU are having fun, does it really matter?this guy covered this rather thoroughly.100 men can totally take out 1 Gorilla. I can't believe this has to be a hot take as well.
I am very nostalgic for classic MK. I also enjoy 3S but that is arguably far more refined and the AI of that game is nowhere near salt levels of classic MK. It is like having to take off the rose tinted glasses and see the game for what is truly is. I'm going to put those glasses back on now.Ehhhh, lots of people like broken games anyways, ask 3rd Strike fans, lol.But as long as YOU are having fun, does it really matter?
This is baitfinal fantasy 7 is bad
gameplay - boring
story - nonsense
world - forgettable
characters - unrelatable
artstyle - incoherent
sound - jarring
music - infantile
no redeeming qualities, better watch advent children
yea the amount of DS games that actually take advantage of its unique capabilities (which is kinda just 2 screens & later 3d functionality) are soo slim. & the ones that do are jrpgs!! or 1st party games. ily style savvyThe DS is only good for JRPG's, otherwise it's just a delivery system for bad movie games.
Hell, if this isn't accurate, I don't know what is. The first three were excellent arcade games, but 4 was hot garbage, the 3D trilogy was...well it wasn't MK, and DC vs. MK? Forget about it. 9 had a mostly coherent story and above all, it was FUN. Yeah, the story was ridiculous, and the timeline merge in MK10 was a laughable way to roll back the aging cast, but you know what? I had fun. I really, really had fun.Mortal Kombat wasnt good until 9
I agree - if we keep buying at the price they set, they're just going to keep ramping it up.yea the amount of DS games that actually take advantage of its unique capabilities (which is kinda just 2 screens & later 3d functionality) are soo slim. & the ones that do are jrpgs!! or 1st party games. ily style savvy
anyways my hot take is we should stop buying games that cost more than $30 usd or whatever the equivalent to that is in your currency.
I cannot really afford to complaint about high prices about non-vital products.I can't find it in me to get truly upset $70 games. Even $80. I'm already used to waiting for sales, and if anything it's more incentive for me to mine away at the ol' backlog (which I've actually made a lot of progress toward this year). The price hike sucks, but life sucks in general so whatever.
Bad/mediocre movie adaptions plagued the PS2, Xbox and Wii, it's not a hardware but more of the zeigeist of that epoch. The DS is only good for JRPG's, otherwise it's just a delivery system for bad movie games.
Hard disagree. The JRPGs were one of its strongest aspects for sure but there's a plethora of great games outside the genre. Picross 3D, Mario Kart DS, the three Castlevanias, Chibi Robo Clean Sweep, Kirby Canvas Curse, the Ace Attorney games. Just to name a few.The DS is only good for JRPG's, otherwise it's just a delivery system for bad movie games.
In a competitive sense, yes.Mortal Kombat wasnt good until 9
Obviously there are going to be guys who's going to get injured, and maybe even killed. However if you got a reasonably sized dude who knows what the fuck he's doing behind a Gorilla and apply a chokehold, chances are, that monkey is done.this guy covered this rather thoroughly.
