There's nothing wrong with playing on easy mode. Not everyone has the time or the patience to spend hours on top of hours trying to top the game at its maximum levels of bullshit. If you are a person who likes playing things at maximum difficulty, great. If you're not, also great. Just let people enjoy what they enjoy.

(Besides some games feel like wisdom tooth extraction even at the easiest settings, ask Super SF2 Turbo, or Mortal Kombat 2, lol.)

It's interesting that humans have an embedded fear of reptiles due to vestigial elements yet we managed to appreciate them.

As humans, i think we look for comfort in the similar, and the comfortable, with the path of least resistance being the one that is most followed.

I can verily say it is 100 percent the PC version of Retroarch that many of us really hate. The whole interface is a pain when I already have things set up how I want them with most of the stand alone emulators I do use. This includes paths for saves, screenshots, and controller configuration. The problem is certain consoles right now don't have the best stand alone emulator and the libetro cores aren't ported.

For example, Sega Genesis. Some games are best with a 3 button setup and some with a 6 button setup, which is really apparent when playing with controllers that have an Xbox, Playstation, or Nintendo Pro controller layout of four face buttons. I can tweak that easily per game in Retroarch but things like ares or Blast Em don't give me an easy option unless I change it each time I load a game. Not to mention how tricky it is getting Sega CD to work on stand alone emulators.

I use Mesen for a lot of consoles now and find its interface to be perfect for PC games, and I have an old front end loading the image files I've curated over time. Duckstation for PS1 and Dolphin for GC/Wii.

If you play with unpatched 16:9 aspect ratio (so strecthed screen) you have issues.

A lot of people play like this because of... lazyness, I suppose.
Either play 4:3 or 16:9 with a properly patched game, don't stretch the whole thing wtf

If Resident Evil 4 hadn't been an RE but a new IP it wouldn't have had nearly the same popularity, I feel the same about BotW.

Hideo Kojima is overrated and nearly ruined Silent Hill by turning it into a generic FNAF-like horror game where you can move.

Resident Evil (with the exception of the 7th) has never been a horror franchise. It's always been about action and comedy.

Nier Automata gameplay is so simple, boring and mid in general, that I find hard to believe it was actually developed by platinum games.

then i would say that idea was a failure. the seal never mattered to me. it might have been for the parents or grandparents to make sure that the game was legit.

I think it was never to ensue the game won't be shit, it was more to tell the audience that the game got the approval of Nintendo instead of being Shovelware, since the cuts made for the flood of games in the Atari era was still present
