Hot takes

all this talk nowadays about AI replacing artists but no one is talking about the much better idea of AI replacing CEOs. hell you probably wouldnt even need an AI to do it, a random number generator hooked up to 4 or 5 bad decisions would work just fine.
imagine how much money activision would save if bobby kotick wasnt paying himself millions to fart around all day

Just make an AI that's designed to butt into the creative process and throw around buzz-words like "Live Service" and "Battle Passes" and you're already halfway there!

Coke vanilla is honestly the best variation of Coke imo. Diet and Zero I just flat out dislike.
I think cherry is the best one of them all, but vanilla is great too.
Luckily there's a Zero Vanilla version now too, so I can compromise a bit better.

Any flavor of coke except normal coke has a horrible aftertaste. Including coffee coke, but I want it back.

Counter strike source is better than 1.6 , you got buffed five seven and dual berreta and an actually good tec9.

I really liked the Coke energy drink, but it seemed to disappear as fast as it arrived, at least here.

Putting a video playing in the background while you game seems like overstimulating yourself and that's a bad baaaad feeling I don't understand why play the game with all the sounds in it while someone from entirely something else speaks in the background I find it too much information for the brain a more focused singular task is better.

Kinda lukewarm take but whatever
Earthbound/mother should stay dead
xenoblade 2 and persona 3 portable should be eradicated from history

I’m kinda conflicted about this. If I’m playing something with a story I care about at all, at least for the first time, or something where atmosphere and immersion are a big part of the draw, I single-task it, no exceptions. But for everything else, I want a podcast on too at least. Is it a bad habit? Am I killing my own attention span? Maybe. Does it matter much? To me? Not so much.

Each to his own mate.

You should be engaged in political discussions
I don't wanna get too spicy, but I want to add that as an American I feel going out and voting (if you reasonably can) is a responsibility. Too many people here complain about politics but then stay home and don't vote.

And that's all I have to say about politics, don't want to push the matter too much.

Time was Diddy would kill you if you didn’t. I think he’s busy lately though.

Come to think, was the oil maybe just for the levers of voting machines?

I agree, although I enjoy listening to a podcast when I feel like grinding in a JRPG, my head starts to hurt after paying attention to both things at once.

Whats wrong with my take ?
Nothing, it's a perfectly hot take, but I agree with you.
I think Xenoblade 2 sucks and I wouldn't touch P3P with a ten foot pole.

the only good part of xenoblade 2 was pyra.

Lots of modern games focus too much on being narrative driven. I know its the big word these days in the game industry but I feel like too much narrative is bad for games. Maybe Im just oldschool but if I dont get to play in the first few minutes it becomes boring. Walking to a npc and pressing the talk button does not count as playing. RPGs might be exempt from this example if they have a challenging and thought provoking battle systems or fun world to explore.

Also there are some games I wanted to like but could not because to progress I had to talk to the correct NPC and to know who I had to actually read tons of intro dialog (which Im likely to skip bc of my limited time)

It depends on the game for me, something like 2hu or a game that requires my concentration oh absolutely I can't, but mindlessly grinding in an RPG or playing something more laid back like The Sims then I can

I don't want to push the matter either, especially because I know this is a forum people partly appreciate as a refuge from the hot turmoil of the outside world, so I will leave it as a spoiler for anyone who wants to consent to read it.

To not "get political" or to attempt political "neutrality" IS a political decision with measurable consequences. Think back to the civil rights movement. To be "neutral" about it was to defend the status quo. Here in the in the US, I'd say it's gotten to a situation where it's impossible to attempt political neutrality. Humans are not neutrons, even a paraplegic takes from the limited resources, and in a capitalist society, you vote with your lifestyle.
