Digimon Battle Spirit 2 and to a lesser extent the original Battle Spirit.

Battle Spirit 2 feels a lot more fair. Chasing calumon to digivolve can feel random.


Both games are wonderswan ports but still feel great and have superb sprite work

Hidden gems and then I'm reading stuff like Sonic Advance and Mother 3. Guys, you ok.
Tbh even stuff like Golden Sun duology. I can understand (maybe) Drill Dozer, Magical Vacation, the Klonoa games, Tomato Adventure (Alphadream's prior work before M&L) but others uuh...ok but thanks to this thread I discovered there is a Zone of the Enders for GBA.

...don't tell me you would consider Dragon Ball Advanced Adventure a hidden gem.

Completely overshadowed by its much better PS2 remake, but man Super Robot Wars Original Generation 2 is very peak (also the fact that its available officially in english with a relatively competent translation, unlike Moon Dwellers)

Obscure Nintendo Switch Hidden Gems​

Sword Of The Vagrant:

Side Scrolling Action game inspired by games like Odin Sphere, and Princess Crown.

Victory Heat Rally:

Beautiful 2d car racer where you race to unlock different characters. God this looks fun!

God Wars:

Story Rich Turn Based Strategy RPG based off of Japanese Folklore.

Star Renegades:

Tactical turn based Roguelike with puzzle-like combat. It's not for me, but maybe for you.

Bot Gaiden:

Very under the radar, short, side scrolling platformer that I'm told combines the best of Ninja Gaiden and Mega Man.

Megaton Musashi WWired:

Mecha game that the yter had never heard of until a viewer recommended to them. It's apparantly got a really interesting story that sounds similar to the movie The Matrix.
