I started my cosplaying journey at 12, putting up the cringiest costume i could do from the cloathing i had at home, looking back it was hilariously funny how bad it looked LOL
Nowdays at least i can say that i got way better with that, cosplayed a few Anime characters, some Gaming ones too and of course i was wondering if anyone around here tried doing some cosplay or wants to try at some point in their life, it's hella of a lot of fun and if you feel like trying, just do it! And if you want some tips on anything, feel free to hit me up

Here is a pic of me and my friend doing some Trigun Stampede cosplay (Wolfwood & Vash) I'm the one in vash cosplay, sadly we didn't had the time to make the left arm so i just had to wear a really long blue glove LOL

I have always sort of admired the people who did this, but I could never brave it myself... even after getting consistently asked by my friend. I wish I had gone for it, honestly.

I once cosplayed as Serge from Chrono Cross. I took the time to cut out a bunch of styrofoam and colored it yellow to look like the Mastermune, and used some plastic pole from another halloween prop, and dyed my hair blue with Koolaid. It turned out okay, nothing professional but we weren't rich or anything. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures. ^_^;

That's awesome! Which one are you lmao, you guys look amazing

I've never cosplayed myself but I kept seeing the girls in the mall that cosplayed as maids and…I'm interested? ::firgirlsmirk

WOAH U GUYS LOOK SO COOL!!! agh i really want to do cosplay i been watching lots of cons and sarah apaceman's video lately i feel so inspired!! i remenber i did properly cosplay once yearsss ago with my brother, he did the costumes and swords/masks

Hey, it's never late to try doing some cosplay my dude, if you feel like its something a lil "childish" go easy with an armor cosplay or something that is most casual clothing or something with a helmet/mask

That is so cool, prop making takes a lot of work and it is super awesome that you took the time to do that, coloring your hair with koolaid sounds mad crazy LOL

What character did you guys cosplays as? Prop making is awesome, i mostly try to help but i kinda suck at it LOL
My friend did a fold-able cross that its on the back and even made a full scale Scissor sword from Kill La Kill

ive always kind of wanted to dip my toes into cosplay, but i simply don't have the money, nor anywhere to show off at. the most i ever do is dressing up as madotsuki from yume nikki every so often, since i already have everything i need for it. (the sweater (courtesy of fangamer) the skirt, red shoes (mine are of the converse variety) and long enough hair to braid) it's kind of fun going out dressed like that, since it looks normal enough to work as a regular fit, but you can lure out any yume nikki fans since they'll probably recognize it

My lanky sasquatch lookin ass cosplayed Sailor Moon at Halloween when I was like 23, which was very fun. My friend was Tuxedo Mask and we had by far the best fits of the evening.

I always wanted to cosplay, but it's hard and I don't live alone, so I can't leave my things around the house. But if I would, I'd go all out! I would buy a premium Bandai belt from the character I would cosplay and make the suit after, probably would pick an easier character to cosplay as to make it easier for my first time.

I always wanted to but there are 3 reasons why it will never ever happen.
1. I don´t have the skills or resurces to make the cloths and such.
2.I don´t have the money to buy shit if I can´t make it.
3. What ever I cosplay as it would look like asssssssssss. I could cosplay a pile of shit and it would look good hell I don´t even need to cosplay I already look like this.

But I do have full respect does who does it and enjoy it. I just don´t wanna sully the hobby.
Cmon man, you gotta try at least once, might be fun after all, but hey if you don't feel like it its ok too, it aint about you looking exactly like the character or being the personification of it that came down to earth, its just about you having fun

Never.
I don't think i have the right appearance for this kind of thing or the money.

I rather see cosplays on videos than do it myself.
There are cheap ones my dude, Aliexpress has a bunch of them (That's where i buy mine from)

Hell yeah man, that would be Sick, i always wanted to cosplay some sentai characters too but i don't think Ryukendo ever got the belts/transforming gear to sell and if they did it prolly just cost a fortune nowdays

I see, something happened for you to stop wearing the suit?

Yes and no.

I moved out when my ex and i split. But it wasn't a relationship/emotional reason to stop.

When you wear a full suit, your vision is obscured, you need a handler to help out and make sure you don't trip on stuff. They also carry things like water, deter kids who may want to suddenly hug you or surround you, and you will sweat a lot so you need hydration. Indoors it isn't so bad, but at a carnival in summer...

And where i moved i don't see much in that community anywhere, so it just sits in it's container. I used to go to Rainfurrest in Portland when that was a thing (Then bad activists infiltrated and effectively forced the hotels to drop all support of it).

Also when i checked it recently, my head has gotten fatter... i fear i'll split it. :( I might have to manually shave some of the foam on the inside to make a bit of room if i decide i plan to wear it again.

Damn ur serious about it, I remember reading and watching some videos on Rainfurrest, lots of drug issues and bad behaviour on the hotels, where you in any of the ones that lead to the cancellation of the convention?

'serious about it'? Not sure. Just a guy who likes anthropomorphic characters. We grew up with them afterall, but hard to say you'd refuse to watch Robin Hood, or 3/4 of children's cartoons.

I only went to the last 3-4 times before it was shut down.

I'm not sure of bad behavior, i heard things that might have gone on but i only went to the public events, video games, vendor corner to buy stuff, and then some of the workshops. But there was always so much interesting stuff you couldn't see it all.

That's the bad actors and activists. We're talking full biker dudes, yes shatting themselves, leaving diapers everywhere.... BabyFurs they called themselves, intentionally being as offensive as possible.

I'd heard some of them had been sawing through some of the toilets on the first floor in the men's room causing major damage. I think that's what really made the hotel back out more than anything.
