Have you pre-ordered yet? I guess I don't understand pre-ordering a digital game except for maybe pre-loading it a few days to a week before it launches.

for the past 15 or so years, pre-order culture hasn't been about securing spots; It's about the convenience of bookmarking games you might want. I haven't owned a console in years, but the storefronts on PS had no method of bookmarking games I was interested in, unlike Steam. So, pre-ordering it was a solution. Most companies just relied on you forgetting about making the pre-purchase/subscription.

now, they don't have to trick you. IPs are so well-known that there's always a userbase to sell to and online posts like the ones we are making now are advertisements.

I remember reading a post from someone who knew office worker type casual gamers. They would drop 60 dollars on the new FIFA or COD game, play it for a few hours, and then never touch it again, repeat for new release. These people walk among us and they have a major sway on the industry. Truly mind boggling.

It's gonna suck! So many preorders without a single gameplay trailer only gives Rockststar the leeway to screw over their consumers. It gives them very little incentive to play it straight and not abuse their consumers and their trust. This is likely gonna play out like Diablo IV after Diablo Immortal.

To not find ANY value with GTA 6 within this rather mediocre gaming gen is simply mind blowing to me, so your claiming that not ONE element or feature of this insanely detailed sandbox or the upcoming online component (that by the way will probably have another 10 years lead way after launch) does not hold any significance? sure...lol

I understand you're very hyped about GTA VI, but you're creating an expectation in your mind that the game will most likely fall short of. You think it will be the game to end all games, but Rockstar haven't even shown a gameplay trailer. You're setting yourself up for disappointment.

Also I don't know anyone that didn't expect GTA VI to sell through the roof. It's the latest game from what has been to this moment the single best game developer. But things tend to change...

the only reason I pre-order digital media is I know I want the game I have the money know but I might not have the money when the game comes out.

Because some time they release the game like oh 10 of of July but I don´t get paid until 20th of july so if I can pre-order it when I got my money in 20th of june I know I can play it when it´s out.

But that is a very very rare thing to happen I never pre-order games because companies can´t be trusted.

The only time I pre-ordered is when it´s a game in a Series I love allot like Monster hunter or such.


And no I have not pre-ordered GTA 6 I will not even play it my taste in game is not that trash sure my taste is bad but not GTA trash bad.

i consider myself a big GTA fan since the original but i honestly don't know if i will get this one , its only because i really hate the thought of unplugging my ps4 to set up a ps5 (i have had a ps5 for 3 or 4 years 'and its still unopened) - i also own red dead redemption 2 on ps4 which i still haven't played and i haven't even switched on the ps4 in a year and a half.
